Just a thought: could you swap out the car part of this out to say a windgenerator? If so I could see something like this being used for for example a fixed wireless relaystation, a forest service observation tower or a small lighthouse.
In basis there are three technologies that do more or less the same: charge and discharge a volume of salt water.
The upsides are
that it's more or less environmentally friendly,
the used materials are cheap and abundant,
it can't catch fire (salt water can't burn),

Hmm, internet access from your house to it would be good I think. So either bury an outdoor CAT6 or higher ethernet cable in the yard, or use something wireless. And some Smart Home thingies are also nice. Ring doorbell, Nets Hub, some lights, wifi etc. Looking forward to the build videos!
