    Fusing a control component

I will have to look that up, that would mean no code violation then. These "manipulate" up to ten amps, so they are a little over 100 VA - means they should be in a raceway? For sure exposed Yes It would seem reason would dictate the intent is merely to protect.

    Fusing a control component

I found 10 x 38 mm fuses at 11 amps for DVMs. Buss and various Chinese manufacturers sell them. I cannot find a DC rated fuseholder. If a fuse just has 1000V rating, is it implied AC/DC? If the fuse holder is only stamped with 600V AC 30A 50kA, why will they not support a DC circuit of...

    Fusing a control component

This is my thought as well. Especially with the control wire on the victron shunt coming with an inline fuse

    Fusing a control component

Very interesting...Thank you for taking the time to reply. Do you think/feel/know, that if the balancers can "shift" up to ten amps, an eleven-amp fuse may be ok?

Made a post ... Got deleted 10 sec after i made it.

If you would take the credit, then we would have something to complain about though...

    Fusing a control component

Shouldn’t any control component with dinky little wires, attached to a battery, be fused? We have all 16 LifePO4 batteries (4S4P) now connected to balancers, and it has made a huge difference. So, the Band-Aid for a poor way to do things seems to be helping immensely. We are going to install...

Anyone else notice Victron Smart Shunt recently lost effective distance?

Perhaps these are only half baked? Those are some thick and dense interior walls!!

    Disconnect/Isolator misleading?

We are looking for battery disconnects rated at greater than 48Vdc and 300amps. Also, this says " Solar DC Isolator", I think this means not opening under load?

How do DIY folks deal with NEC 690.4 (C) - Qualified Persons Only

Once you are qualified to answer those questions....

Failed Inspection - need some advice and guidance for NEC 690 infractions.

I finally understand this. We rarely even see lighting, I have never done lightning protection, but I do see how auxiliary ground rods can cause problems if lighting does strike..Thanks for being persistent with this.

I was more surprised at the number of words you used!!!

I think we have all disconnected or removed something after an inspection.

At least one person may count that, perhaps more, not sure. Wait, if you are asking, do you not count it yourself?
