Hi. Im wondering if somebody could provide some information on how I would create a DIY solar system to charge my RC car batteries (5000mAh 4S 75C Battery Pack)
Hi folks. I just installed an EG4 3KW with four 330 watt panels tied to a bank of 4 LiFePO4 12v 100Amp batteries. The EG4 is hardwired to some outlets and lights. Seems to work sometimes. Other times I go to turn the lights on and there's nothing. Why would this happen? How would I go...
Loading a single LED light and whatever energy it takes the EG4 to run. Very low load. No monitoring on the batteries as of yet. I measured the batteries separately and they're at 10.4, 9.7, 10.4 and 10.4. I really don't know what the battery voltage was when it stopped working.
My system has been down, hence how long its taken me to reply.
I've created a website which details every spec of my system. It includes videos on how its wired as well.

This website details all the specs of my system. It shows all the readings of my eg4. https://garnet-rodent-edc.notion.site/Solar-Panel-Installation-705ec3ea94fc488588a7b51e05cea9a6?pvs=4
I'm running no loads except for the 3g4 itself.
I'm new trying to get a system to work - but it just wont.
System specs:
EG4 3KW (new).
Programed to work with User-Defined batteries (setting 5)
Program Setting 26 set the Bulk Charging Voltage (C.V. Voltage) to 58.4V
Program Setting 27 set the Floating Charging Voltage to 54.0V

I have a shunt. Unfortunately, it does not work when 4 of the batteries are in series. It works on 1, or 3. I think i have a faulty battery. At the moment, I've disconnected the faulty and running on 36 volts.
Hello.
I am creating a simple off-grid installation to power a few small things off to the side. However, so far the system is not working at all and I cannot figure out the problem. I've tried getting answers here a few times, but questions have been asked when I couldn't answer them (either...
I use an AC charger.
Your second link is probably what I'm looking for, but I assume I can build a DIY solution for less than that. To that end, I guess Im looking for a parts list to recreate the pieces in the second link.
Thank you.
I never really know when its going to go out. Everything seems fine, then its not. But Im also not out there every hour checking it. Its kinda like diagnosing cancer. Everything seems good, but underneath theres something stinky brewing but its so slow and silent you just cant know.
Yes, I read the manual too and 4P does suggest over temperature. How ever, either the manual or someplace else (I cant recall) suggested that Error 4 can be a catch all. Temperature didn't make any sense to me either.
Hi There,
My project is a simple off-grid installation to power a few small things off to the side. Nothing significant or stringent.
Because of this, I went budget friendly on the batteries and ordered 4 eco-friendly batteries from amazon. I also bought used solar panels consisting of 4...
Found another problem...
Now, the batteries register at:
13.2
12.75
12.73
34.1
And the shunt is no longer working. Its like the first time around battery 1 died after being connected to this system, and the second time around battery 4 died.
Stupid question, but can I connect the Eg4 to a power source using the AC line in and charge the batteries this way? Right now I have it set up totally off grid - so no AC connection.
Might have been longer. I got the batteries from 10 something to 12.7/9. That's all I recall. My first attempt at connecting everything was 2 weeks ago. I went on vacation and had to wait for another battery to be shipped, so I forget the actual times.
Im having a few other issues with this system. Perhaps its all related. I'd be appreciative if someone could sort me out.
I'm getting an error code 6P. From reading, I gather this is either from an overload or no batteries. There are batteries, and there's not even a load at the moment. In...
