Thanks man, and I have a 15s bms made for my application but I was using the battery for a go kart and it got pretty banged up lol, opening up 2 cells I knew because they smelt bad
Hey sorry to highjack the thread but what would a 15s 2p battery look like layout wise? I have 2 damaged cells so am stuck with 30 cells total. Purchased a 15s bms
I was at cabelas today and found this ammo box that’ll fit a 280ah battery perfectly with room to spare for a bms and such. I thought I would share because I’ve been struggling to find a box or 3D print file.

They have dark green or...
Okay awesome this is great news, thanks so much for the replies guys. And I totally thought the same thing, that they didn’t want to be liable and they didn’t want to honour the return to save money. I’ll go ahead and order a 280ah cell probably from a US stock. I appreciate it ?
I’ve had the cells for 3 years, they haven’t been through too many cycles, under 100. Not sure how the one got damaged but either way I can’t get a refund, I’ve tried. I’m in Canada.
Amy says she doesn’t have the older version in stock. The difference is the terminals, some are have a threaded...
Hello! 1 of my 4 280ah lifepo4 battery cells has been damaged somehow. It has a puncture and is leaking a little.
I’ve asked Amy if I can just replace it with a newer cell and she advised against it because the newer models are different and could cause damage.
Does anyone have any advice on...
Thanks for that information. I’ll figure out what the settings are set too on the Daly, but until then I’ll switch to my 120amp Overkill Solar BMS for now.
I ordered a 200amp Daly bms off of Alibaba and it came with no extra cords or temp sensors, and the bms itself had no plug ins ports accept for the balance leads. Did I buy a bms that I’m unable to adjust the settings? I’ve never read anything on a Daly bms that you can’t adjust. There’s no on...
Yeah u betcha, and I actually still had it hooked up through the BMS, I really didn’t think it would be the problem because nothing on the app was showing up as an alert or anything, super weird but ya when I got around to testing it without the Bms all was fine.
The inverter was able to turn on and try to power whatever was plugged it, so the polarity is correct. Inverters now a days have fuses that will blow if the polarity is reversed.
The inverter worked strait off the battery, without the BMS involved, problem solved, it was a broken BMS. Thanks...
Ya in the video I was just trying to explain what happened when it started smoking. I can assure you that the electrical connections were all fine. I didn’t use that red wire to connect to the positive. I just don’t believe in buying two different colour wires, it’s more expensive and I...
I used a hammer crimper like this one
Lincoln Electric KH538 Lug/Cable Crimping Tool (Pack of 1) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00F0SLLFA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_HM50W49VZH9F331B85EN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Gave it a couple good pulls to make sure it was a secure good crimp
lol no worries, it is messy, I have a cover that goes on the blue sea fuse block that indicates which wire is for what, so that helps. Sorry what do you think is undersized? It’s no more then 4 feet, and yes correct.
