Update- wanted everyone to know I replaced the arc fault breaker with another new arc fault breaker and my problem has resolved. 5 days now since the replacement and issues. I guess that shows those breakers are finicky and can be bad out of the box. IF my problem returns I will be swapping it...
Thank you! It’s brand new construction and it’s a brand new refrigerator. It’s on a 20 amp breaker already. I think I’m gonna swap out the breaker and see if that does the trick.
I have a dedicated 20 amp breaker with 12 AWG wire. I have one of these new arc fault breakers… I’m wondering (hoping) that is my issue and a simple swap out will
Do the trick.
I’m very interested in this trade in deal. I can’t help but think this is Sig solars PR move to try and move on from some bad reviews of the 6500’s.
I have a pair of 6500’s and my light flickering is unbearable. Yes, I’ve done the firmware update.
SS told me the 18Kpv has a “cleaner sine...
Hello everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help me understand my solar system data.
I have 16,200W of solar panels ( 4 arrays of 9 450W panels each- 36 total panels).
These plug into an EG4 18kpv.
I have 6 EG4 life power batteries (48v)
I’m grid tied and I do net-metering with my local...
Good day,
I have a EG4 18kPV with lifepower battery pack (6 batteries). I am grid tied.
My set up is as follows:
subpanel #1 - essential/large loads - wall oven, hot tub and dryer - these ckts only get power from the grid.
subpanel #2 - "solar panel" - this panel powers most of my house...
Good day, this is my first post. I’m grateful for this forum, as I have learned a lot.
I will explain my set up and my issue.
Setup: I have two EG4 6500’s in split phase (2P1 and 2P2/180). These were ordered last fall so I believe they still have grounding nut. I have done the firmware...
It’s one of those new (code required) arc fault breakers. It may be on my kitchen GFCI, but I’m pretty sure it has its own dedicated circuit as it’s the only thing on this breaker.
jumping in on this tread... I too just upgraded from two 6500's to the 18Kpv and am very glad i made the change. I was having a lot of flickering lights with the 6500's (none with the 18K). SS did the remote firmware update to 1717. Took two attempts.
I have 1 18Kpv with 6 Eg4 lifepower4...
I also have 2 6500’s and I get a lot of light flickering. I may do the SS upgrade program to get the 18kpv.
I would be curious if anyone has any opinion on this.
Thank you so much for your reply. I don’t see a “charge last” setting in my app. Is it only on the inverter itself? And just to confirm, you do both “charge last” and set PV priority charge times? Do you not charge with AC?
I pasted my settings below. Grateful for your input.
