They are just wires connected there with that green connector. For now, I use only the USB outputs. It measures 4.85V, 1.7A, 7.8W (although they say 3A in the description).

Update: I added a load on the "load" wires, and then the "light bulb" appeared on the screen! Well, now the screen looks like it has to, but because I have a small battery (which serves more like a "resistance"), I set the menu at "load hours" at 00h (this means it should not discharge the...

My panel (max 120w, 12v): ECO-WORTHY 120W Panel Solar 12V Monocristalino Placa Solar Aplicable para RV, Autocaravana, Barco, Cobertizo, Caravana, Casa, Sistema de Panel Solar Fuera de la Red https://amzn.eu/d/7eRfa6O

I want to use without battery! The panel is big enough for 5-6usb outputs (I guess), as it works with lighter usb car charger for sure there are some proper dc-dc buck regulators: do you know some? So, without controller&battery, like the foldable one for e.g.

Other issue is that I'm planning to add a proper battery to this setup. I saw this : Oferta: ECO-WORTHY Bateria Litio 12V 100Ah Lifepo4 con Protección BMS y 3000 Ciclos, Protección contra Bajas Temperaturas, para Autocaravana, Sistema Placa Solar, Barco, Hogar, Camping...
  • Post in thread: 12-24v allpowers controller issue

I didn't know this! So, for large loads (like what, for example?), should I also connect them directly to the battery? Currently, I have a small car charger with 2x5V2.5A@18W. Regarding the battery, I guess I need a 12V100Ah, which means 1200Wh. This means, for example, 10h@120W or 20h@60W, so I...

Yes, all connected correctly (no load, the "load" is only on the usb, which are working), the load output has only the wires. The update would be that I thought to shake a bit the battery and now it appears the panel&sun&etc on the display and the battery half full....but still no load even I...

...and after "shakin'" a bit the battery...and the usb provide 5v as shown with tester (the usb worked also before when appeard only the battery and no solar panel)
  • Post in thread: 120w, 12v, panel direct connect to 5v usb attempts

Hi, I'm a newbie and I want to direct connect a 120w, 5a solar panel to 5v. 3a usb to charge the devices during daytime. First attemp was with a 12-24v controller but it get "fried" in the end (don't know why, because I supposed that the 2 usb outputs are also regulators, but seems not)...

Hi again, sorry my dumbness but I'm not sure I get it well! You reffer at something like in the attached sketch? If so, can you help me please with further infos? Where to buy such a diode and what characteristics should have in order to harvest the entire capacity of the panel without...

Hi, The display shows only the battery and the right black arrow! Although the panel is also linked, on the load output only the wires. The USB ports deliver, they are working. Shouldn't appear all on the screen?
  • Post in thread: 120w, 12v, panel direct connect to 5v usb attempts

Hi again, meanwhile I bought a new controller (the same), but this time first I connected the battery, then the solar panel, but still there is a display issue which I guess it's wrong. I posted another thread about this here: Thread '12-24v allpowers controller issue'...

Yeah! Thanx! Only 2 usb output but anyway, should work well (on amazon spain is ~22euros), maybe I'll buy it, though I prefere to have, say, 6 usb outputs to charge more devices during daytime
  • Post in thread: 120w, 12v, panel direct connect to 5v usb attempts

Wow! I knew that the solar panel delivers not stable or constant electricity, but to label it "12v" while it has more than double it's miskeading for a newbie like me. Thanx for the tip with resistor, I'll try it since I stll have 8 regulators already bought, but can you send me an amazon link...
