Narada lithium battery using 2.8amps when floating?

Update: It kept consuming 2.8amps, so I've set the inverter to stop charging after floating for 10mins and start recharging when voltage drops to 48.5v. Battery has stopped charging and been holding at 49.7v for a couple of hours now. Is 48.5v a good mark to start recharging?

Narada lithium battery using 2.8amps when floating?

Update: Over 12 hours now, battery still being charged at 2.8 amps

Narada lithium battery using 2.8amps when floating?

Yes. Its been almost an hour but even with 54v float battery is still charging at 2.8amps

Narada lithium battery using 2.8amps when floating?

Both - whichever is available. Need battery to be fully charged all the time, so it can be used in case of rolling blackouts aka load shedding. Honestly, I'm not sure about 15 or 16 cell...the fully charged voltage is supposed to be 54v so it seems 15 cell. The manual says to use 52.5v float...

Narada lithium battery using 2.8amps when floating?

Infini 10KW 3P. Its not being consumed by inverter, but charging current going to the lithium battery.

Narada lithium battery using 2.8amps when floating?

Recently got a Narada NESR lithium battery connected with Infini inverter. There is no BMS comms with inverter, so I manually set Bulk charging (54v) & floating (52.5v) voltages. My understanding is that when battery is fully charged, BMS will stop charging the cells and charging current will...

Trying to understand DC MCB Fault scenarios and handling

Got this DC MCB rated for 1000v and 20a (datasheet attached). Under "Wiring method for ungrounded system", it shows Fault scenarios: If I'm understanding this correctly, if the breaker will only trip if there is more than 20A between its positive and negative. If there is more than 20A...

Cable for Solar Assistant and Narada lithium battery?

Need a cable to connect Narada NESR/NPFC lithium battery to Raspberry Pi 3B+ running Solar Assistant. I don't have amazon etc in my country so trying to find a FTDI chip USB-to-RS485 cable off of aliexpress. Does anyone know which cable to get? My understanding from solar assistant's website is...

    Solar panel/module grounding bolt size?

Jinko solar panel has a 4mm hole in its frame for grounding wire connection. Which size bolt should i use for it? M4 or M3? I read somewhere that M4 means 4mm is hole size and bolt diameter is smaller than 4mm, other sites say that M4 bolt means 4mm diameter and it requires a 4.3+ mm hole size...

DC vs PV Solar Disconnect wiring difference?

Looking into a 1000V DC MCB for solar string because string voltage is around 600V. Came across this breaker and it has different wiring recommendation for DC system vs PV wiring (which is also DC), so confused about the reason for difference. It seems its only isolating negative in case of DC...

    Half-cut solar panel and shading

My assumption was if 1/3 of half-cut panel was shaded then its output will go down by 1/6 only. However, as per this video that's actually not what happens: I have a scenario where the bottom third (in landscape orientation) of the panel would be shaded during winter season. After watching the...

How to quiet MPP All-in-One fan noise?

Does anyone know the fan part-numbers for Voltronic Infini 10KW hybrid inverter?

    Infini 10KW high-pitched buzzing noise?

The Voltronic Infini 10KW inverter, working non-stop for 4 years, has started making high-pitched buzzing noise. I guess it happened slowly over weeks so didn't notice it earlier. Video attached, turn up the volume to hear it. Its quite noticeable even 25-30ft from the inverter. Are the fans...

How to quiet MPP All-in-One fan noise?

Curious, if you replaced with Noctua fans and if they're noticeably quieter? I have a Voltronic Infini 10KW hybrid inverter with 3 cooling fans on top and in our hot summers + during peak daylight hours, the fans get quite loud. Thinking about replacing the fans to reduce noise without...
