BHU has added a TON of LIFEPO4 cells in recent time. I remember they were all like 100% 18650 or cell packs. Now it seems like there's a flood of LFP cells which is great. It's kinda surprising how they are still around $1.60/Ah when the ready made 100AH packs on amazon are around the same price...
I have this unit: https://www.giandel.com/products/ps-1200jcr
Just curious to know what the issue with my inverter might be... I haven't had any issues with my unit so far. I currently have 200AH LIFEPO4 hooked up to it with 2AWG wire. Everything is nice and tidy. I attempted to charge my lawn...
I should be getting another 100ah battery this week along with an additional 100w panel. I plan to go from 3 panels in parrallel to 2 in series and 2 in parallel for the increase in voltage to support 400w.
Does anyone know the actual dimensions of the internal cells? I'm curious if you can weld together two full size battery cases and fit like 3 sets of cells if you rotate them 90 degrees...?
Not sure how lightning deals work but picked up another full size 100ah battery for $167. Excited to get a 2nd. First battery is working like a champ...
Here's the manual - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0746/0415/1079/files/POW-KEEPER-Series_User_Manual_bb3569ba-b8fb-44af-b705-ef13f9c0da9e.pdf?v=1686640659
I have no issue pulling current. I'm not tripping the battery bms. I was down to like 13.3v and it still wouldn't turn on charging...
So new issue...
I finally was able to reach full charge on my 100Ah battery with the new MPPT controller. Yes, it is about 30% more efficient on the full range of charging, cloudy days I can get like 35-45W and full sun in Feb I've been able to get up to 292W which is pretty good for 3-100W...
Not sure what I'm looking at but it seems to be working good. I was able to wire it up and program it for lifepo4. We shall see how much it tops off the battery. Had brief sun this morning and was getting around 250w from my 3 panels around 10am before the clouds and rain rolled in... So I'm...
Yea, I'm definitely taking my own path I guess...
I'd like to have a better way of monitor my battery SOC... thinking of getting this hall sensor monitor...
I'm looking at getting the pow-keeper1240 mppt charge controller from PowMr. Love the name. Lol

I think it's authentic but not...
Ah, now it makes sense. I always wondered why the voltage from the panels drops from 23v to whatever the battery voltage is, ~13V on the solar side even before the PWM controller...I guess it also makes sense when I see the battery voltage increase, I end up getting a higher charge wattage due...
Panels are 3 in parrallel, they're about 23.1v no load. I'm only talking about maybe 275w on their best day with 3-100w panels.
I didn't see any conformal coating but I also didn't do a ton of prep ahead of the modifications.
I'm just on a small 12v battery setup for now. 100ah. Looking to go...
I received my 3rd controller now. Did alot of research and aparently there's a larger version of these pwm controllers that actually has a metal heatsink on the back.. The new controller is very nice and actually has 9 fets so definitely should be an upgrade. The soldering was very poor so I...
So the solar charge controller (30A version) caps out around 215w and starts to thermally throttle. I suspected it has something to do with the limit of the mosfets just exceeding their current limitations. So I ended up getting another solar charge controller, this time with a different layout...
