    Another RV thread

In my previous RV I had the inverter installed under the kitchen sink area raised up on a platform. This was mainly invented unless the cabinet door was open (rare). You could here the fans but over the noise of everything else it was never an issue. I never had an issue and maybe it was so...

Removed the fireplace and there is room to put the inverter either there behind the fireplace or remove the shelf above the TV and put the converter there. Behind the fireplace which has its advantages of everything being hidden but I don't know if I would need more ventilation or not. There is...

    6000xp with generic LifePO4 w/o communication

This is awesome. I am going to have to attempt this. I have the shunt listed above. It would be great if I didn't need a new one but we will see.

    6000xp with generic LifePO4 w/o communication

Not to get totally off topic but could someone use a shunt that has RS485 and connect it to the XP6000? Something like this below? Basically I use this to connect to monitor my Batteries SOC. Just wondering if it could be used to feed information to the 6000XP as a SOC indicator. Shunt

    50-amp 48v RV Question

I am doing a very similar setup. The plan is to put a chargverter input in case I have a 120V feed or need to power it off the generator. I plan on starting a build thread soon. I do like the idea of a separate input for the inverter. Might be cheaper than running a longer length of wire...

    EG4 6000XP Neutral-Ground Bonding

I traditionally use bonding plugs on the generator as well. It would be great if the 6000xp had an option like this: 1) incoming AC power detected removed bonding wire. 2) No AC input bond the neutral and ground. To me it would be a simple software fix.

Well I think I found where I want to put the inverter. I have a large area behind the TV where it should easily mount. I am wondering if I have room to put the batteries next to the fireplace in the back. Two on each side. The only thing I don't like is this would all be on a slide. The fridge...

Has anyone actually measured the EG4 6000xp. I did some preliminary measurements in the trailer today and I might have a tougher time fitting it somewhere than I thought. Is it truly 25.5"x18"x5.25" as it says on the spec sheet? I seem to be very close in one or two of the dimensions quite a...

    EG4 6000XP Neutral-Ground Bonding

I saw this was verified as true but I want to verify if charging the batteries with the mppt in the 6000xp this is also true.

Well that's my main reason for the chargverter. I would want to dial it up for our short generator hours we are allowed where I mainly stay. Most have a 2 hours in the morning and 2 or 3 in the evening. Problem is if you miss one of those, especially in the evening it can make getting through...

Your design is making more and more sense now that I keep copying it further. I do have another 48V power supply that is 10A. That is a .1c charge rate. I am guessing I still want a chargverter to charge quickly if needed.

I bought the EG4 6000XP this morning. Very excited for this. Now trying to figure out my second plug wiring with the chargverter to make it work with 120V and 240V. The wiring for the chargverter wants 120L-N on the same pins as 240V L-L. I would love to be able to use both with an adapter cable...

    NYSERDA

Thinking about this more I probably should detach one of the sunny boy inverters (5 or 6kW) and put it to the PV input of this on the Sol-Ark. This gets me roughly around 17-18kW for AC coupled and then run the additional panels to the Sol-Ark for more PV input. I can get an additional 12-13kW...

I agree with you. I honestly never thought of higher voltage batteries like that but it makes a lot of sense especially when you get to whole house backup level. There is always a trade off with system size and voltage level most of the time.

I have to look into that solis type system. It looks very similar to the sunny boy islands as well. Not sure if I like the high voltage battery or not just due to the lack of supply vs a 48V system. I was also looking at the EG4 -18kp -12lv. It looks very similar to the Sol-Ark but allows...
