Okay. Sick of these stupid headway cells. Cell one is completely dead. Zero volts. Apply a charge and it takes no current. This is my third set from battery hookup. I just using them to test BMS’ so they get no use.
I just swapped my BMS and one getting the same thing. I wonder if the balance wire got too hot, melted and now isn’t making good contact. Im going to take apart the connector to have a look. I am running the stock balance harness as I’m running 8s and can’t use the pcb that shipped with the eel...
I just noticed this. The BMS isn’t reading cell one anymore. I just disassembled the entire pack and hooked it up to a different set and I still can’t get a reading on cell 1. I can read the voltages on the connector so it’s something in the BMS.
FYI I attempted to connect over wifi and no go. Some other forum posts hint at an ethernet connection, so I may try that. I'm not installing it near the inverter or energy meter so I'd like to avoid running an RS485 connection. I'm run an ethernet cable this week to see will work and will report...
I just picked up a full EV (traded in my phev and got a great deal on a Chevy Bolt EUV). I already have a level 2 evse but I've had my eye on the solaredge unit because the data will be in the same mySolaredge app plus it has Charge Via excess solar only options. My PHEV had a max of 4kw I think...
I was trying to lighten the mood with a bit of humor.
In all honesty, it’s pretty bad but people shouldn’t really be surprised. We shouldn’t be buying this stuff expecting great support. We are paying fractions of the price by making our own batteries and expectations should be low. It’s shitty...
Damn I might buy a few. 75 (64 if you buy a pallet) bucks for a 370W panel! Hell I may buy more than a few. I have a whole west roof left for expansion.
I bought 25 Jinko panels from them locally and they have been great for 3+ years now. Don’t know about shipping though. When I bought they were working out of a large house with panels stored outside. That could be different now.
Yes, you'll need either a raspi with venus and a third party can adapter, or just buy a cerbo, or venus, or any other GX device with native built in CAN. You'll be better in the long run with software updates (imho)
Lunar new year is over in china so I got a reply in the heating function from JK:
For instructions on heating cables, the green 5PIN cable of the heating cable needs to be linked to the heating pad, and the rest of the black and red cables are linked to the smart charger (after the smart...
