Any good product suggestion on that respect
I've read that some make more mess than they should and actually the result is opposite to the aimed objective (e.g. worst contact / higher resistance / ..)
yes agree, but we were talking (see post above #10) about copper / aluminium interface in a "salty" environment (e.g. near shore)
I saw upnorthandpersonal pointed to that resource which imho appies also to the above conditions -> antyox and avoid aluminium erosion
beeing cells battery terminals...
yeah 8xxx Alu
i confess i don't know which alu the cells terminals are made of, good point
have searched a bit in the forum but didn't come to a conclusion
Ok thanks, will remove the one on the Batteries Bus Bar
Sorry for the confusion on the DC load side i just reused the picture. That's gonna be a DC/DC converter not an MPPT indeed
Thanks
Are you ref to the Batteries bus bar ? That's a 30x10 section copper bar in the plans
I reused the MPPT picture (sorry for confusion) but that is a DC/DC converter for DC loads
Each battery can potentially run alone (e.g. at the begin there will be only one)
Planned current draw is ~ 160 A...
I'm in the same spot as you.
I only find super-uber expensive (and 3 pole) MCCB in Europe... Shnider has (had) one 2P (pretty exp too) which is going to be discontinued in May...
...an the Ali counterparts like this... 2P 125A MCCB i'm not sure to trust..
Had you managed to find something ?
Thanks
Hi all,
while looking at the different BMS brands / options for the system i'm currently plannig upon i stepped into this option as well
Elerix Celle Performance Monitor (quasi BMS) CPM in short
It's not a regular BMS (like e.g. JK and co.) as the current is not flowing through it.
Couple...
I've come across their offerings on another angle.
I was looking into solar panels and In Italy those appear in the offereings of some official import shops
The panels have on paper a good price per Wp ratio
So i did question myself the same Q as yourself... who are those guys ?
I've only been...
Hi,
recently joined this wonderful forum :)
I've spent some time already reading threads on the subject, the very useful filterguy's guides and Victron's "Wiring Unlimited"..
i've made a sketch of my plan for the DC side for my project.
While i was initially thinking to use MCCB(s) on the...
I thought the same
There are actually two models that could be worth looking into
Gobel RN150 BMS (150A)
Gobel PC200 BMS (200A)
There seem to be zero documentation though on either..
That's what i noticed as well in many of their products pictures around the web... shops included
So i decided to ask them directly.. "how come?"
They confirmed (see above reply) the switches (marked 48VDC...) are fine for our Lifepo4 battery usage
I'm now considering those in my plan instead...
