I have 4 20lb bags of rice in my bedroom. Under the bed of course. Less distance to fall if the bed falls apart.
  • Post in thread: Solar has been hijacked/co opted. A wakeup?

I dont believe the writing on the wall could be any more clear. It is my understanding that grid power will be vastly more expensive when >50% of people use EVs and that will most likely take a decade to fix brown out issues and find price parity with the "new world" of electric everything. Oh...

You have every right to be tense. All these jack offs, including me, can go pound sand! :) Our banter doesnt mean much compared to the drama that you are involved in. You are fine. No apology needed. Keep you head up brother.
  • Post in thread: Joe Biden Edition battery now available!

I wonder how it smells? I'm sure it's terrible. I bet this battery gets all hot and bothered around children.
  • Post in thread: Continuing DIY or give up DIY to buy already assembled battery?

LOVE this attitude. I share it with you. I love learning at my own pace with a nice payoff at the end.
  • Post in thread: Need a way to bottle or can excess solar production.

This time of year I run space heaters with a open window w/ fan. Almost kidding.
  • Post in thread: Is this a plausible amount of input from the panels?

I received sustained 106% of my panel rating in Feb. Very much unlike June and July. February seems to be a fair to good month for solar. The cooler temps help out a lot here in Wisconsin. Seems totally plausible.

Dont call him china joe for nothing.
  • Post in thread: Crazy things you do with excess power

I usually fire up 3 space heaters outside in the winter. Just trying to make it less wintery.
  • Post in thread: Lowes is running a deal on 4 Renogy panels + charge controller 449

I really enjoy and share your dislike on Renogy. Every single thing I have ever purchased from them has pissed me off except the solar panels.
  • Post in thread: 1st off-grid adventure — need charge controller advice

Victron charge controllers are the best. Period. Quite, cool, efficient, best software, updates often, great warranty, pretty, what more would you ask for? Oh I know! You can get the Ral 5012 blue color and powder coat everything else to match the awesome Victron Blue...

Dont forget about the mandatory kill switch that will be law in 2026. Just think of the geofencing possibilities!
  • Post in thread: EG4 6000XP Released, ordered. Let's Go!

Oh no hah. Either way. A very nice guy from EG4 and on this forum named EG4_Jarrett helped more than I would have expected or imagined. I was astounded by his prompt responses, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

  • Post in thread: wzrelb pure sine wave 5000w 24v power inverte

I would always recommend more solar. But there is absolutely a chance that that will not help resolve this.
  • Post in thread: GUIDE to properly Top-Balance and Charge a LFP Battery: Part 1

Isnt 3.45 the magic number for 100% with slow charging and zero detriment? I am pretty sure you are right! I usually charge to 3.45 and once every 5-6 months charge to 3.55 for balancing.
  • Post in thread: Joe Biden Edition battery now available!

    Such a wonderful thread.
  • Post in thread: Newb. Weighing options on best path forward.

:) I still cant believe with LIfePo4 you can buy a battery today and the cells will outlast the BMS and your refrigerator. Good day to be alive

48?? I got 34 and I want to triple it at least.
  • Post in thread: Has anyone come across a good, low power, surround sound technique?

When talking about audio reproduction and power, it has been said that a 10X increase of power is equal to a perceived doubling of volume. With that in mind you need to know what you want out of this. I have used 20 watt amps on mains and a 400 watt amp on bass with awesome results. If you are...
