We built our small, energy-efficient, all-electric home during the winter of 2011-12...ICF walls, energy-star rated...top-notch job by the contractor. Probably 20% $ over 'standard' build, and worth every penny. It sits on a hill with virtually no trees. Solar has always been in the back of...
As mentioned in a previous thread, we're planning to use an already existing genertor lock-out inside the MEP to feed it from the Sol-Ark 15k. The feed to the breaker currently comes from a 10kW diesel generator via 4AWG CU, and sits behind an 80 amp breaker on the MEP panel. For background...
I'm putting my rack of SOKs together. My Google-foo is failing to find the correct torque value for the terminal bolts...here, SOK, CC, all nada. Anybody got a source? Thanks!
Jim
Hi folks....another strange newbie question!
I have an existing main (200A) dis-connect on the outside wall of the house just under the meter. I also have in hand a new 200 amp main MEP with lugs for 200A pass-thru (see attached pdf). I'd like to use the new MEP to implement my solar. I know...
Curiosity question.... I'm in the process of installing a SA15k. I will be assigning it a static IP addy on my home network and limiting it to inside my network only. What's gonna come up if I open it in a browser? Is there browser-based config software or just the SA apps?
Thanks!
Jim
A curiosity question mostly.... One of the the strong points of the SA 15k is the 200A pass-thru for grid. I'm just curious if it continues to pass thru grid power to the load terminals if the SA on/off switch is turned off. Anybody had experience with this? It's probably an easy answer for...
As a long-time reader of the forum I want to first thank everyone for the invaluable knowledge I have gained from it! I'm finally ready to have cogent discussion, and hopefully at some point become an asset to the group.
I finally decided to take the plunge. I contacted my electric co-op...
We're going to use an already-existing generator inter-lock to come into the MEP from the S/A. In the drawing we sent to County we indicated we were going to replace the current 80 amp breaker with a 100 amp breaker, and appropriate wire. When he sent the approval back this page was stuck...
