Current or Future Solar Power System
Three systems; 1) 1180watt panel array & 1280watt panel array each connected to a 50amp BT C. Controller both controllers in parallel to a 1000ah bank of Weize lithium batteries and battery bank connected to one 2500watt PSW inverter. 2) 1200watt panel array connected to a 50amp BT C. Controller, connected to a 1000ah bank of Weize AGM batteries, connected to a 1500watt PSW BT inverter. 3) 400watt panel array to a cheap PowerMr 60amp C. Controller, to a 12v 220ah Weize lithium battery to a no-name 2500watt PSW inverter. Converted from AGMs to lithiums 1.5yrs ago. Use primary lithium system to run household stuff except fridge. Left AGM system intact to run fridge just to keep the AGMs in operation(they arent that old and always very well monitored/maintained). Use small, 400watt, 220ah system to power a work shop. My panels are mostly Newpowa with some Weize and HQST mixed in. Some are "24v" panels and some are "12v" panels connected in series to essentially make "24v" panels. I tend to buy what fits my budget at any given time. My battery banks remain 12v. I live in a "vintage" motorhome and everything in the motorhome, such as interior lighting, built in food processor, furnace blower motor, water pump and so on is all 12v thus keeping my primary battery bank 12v makes sense to me. My systems are self designed and built. Im sure that they arent perfect but theyve been providing my power needs without fail for over 3 yrs now. I do use a variety of system monitoring devices but have not listed them here for the sake of brevity?
