Seplos Mason 280 - no workee, make me crazy!

Got in two Seplos Mason 280 kits couple weeks ago. Got the first kit assembled and hit the reset button and waited for magic to happen. LCD screen came on and there was no Voltage or SOC displayed, no individual battery voltages. DC voltage at cable outputs is 53.7 Volt Checking cable...

My Seplos Mason Adventure.... it is just starting

Over a year ago I got the solar bug and wound up buying raw cells. I bought 16 EVE 304ah LifePO4 batteries from Amy Zheng at Docan Power in the US. They arrived quickly and were all pristine. So I ordered another 16. There was one damaged one that Amy replaced right away. As time has gone...

Overkill Solar comm cable to Growatt 12kw - which cable?

None of the cables in the Overkill Solar 48V BMS will plug into the Growatt 12Kw inverter. I went to Overkill Solar site - no cable there that I can see to order. Anybody know which cable to get so the BMS and inverter can communicate?

    It's Alive.....

I got the large - capacity is 16 pounds. During harvest season there is no problem filling it up. Outside of harvest season we make commercial batches of soups, spaghetti sauce, and to so on. Kind of a pain sometimes. So now Harvest Right is offering the extra large FD machine.... 32 pounds...

    It's Alive.....

I found the freeze dryer. It is a small not a medium. Has the older basic vacuum pump. New units come with a premium vacuum pump.. I don't think the price is all that good a deal. New small unit is $2400 and comes with the premier pump - that's almost the price difference from their asking...

    It's Alive.....

Complicated machine. You need someone experienced to vet it. How old? How much use? Used for pot? Vacuum pump pull a vacuum?

    It's Alive.....

Our two big things to FD are green chile and apples. Green chile we do about 3 sacks which works out to about 16 pounds per sack peeled and chopped. 15 pounds into the FD machine. Next up is apples - we have an apple orchard so FDing apples is a must. I prefer the winesaps and granny smiths...

    It's Alive.....

My freeze dryer runs about 37KW a run so averages .83KW per hour. There are basically two phases - first phase is freezing and the next phase is drying which continues freezing but adds vacuum and switches heaters on the trays to drive the moisture out of the food. During the second phase I...

    It's Alive.....

The Growatt inverter will use grid power as a last resort should it be needed. Since the freeze dryer runs around the clock on a 44 hour run then I expect some grid power to be used during the night.

    It's Alive.....

Pics? Dang. I hate to show my dirty underwear (tangle of wires) but will post - don't judge me.

    It's Alive.....

It's taken over a year to get up and running. Panels, inverter, batteries, a small fortune in odds and ends to connect it all together. Much youtubing, reading, some more youtubing, some more reading, saw a squirrel so let things gather dust for awhile. And then back on it with renewed...

    Seplos goes dark

How was your assembly and integration experience? I ask because I just order one as well.

    Seplos Mason 280 source?

Ordered from Amy Zhang. I ordered two separte sets of 16 each eve 304s from her last year. And some extra bus bars ... to many as it turns out. But each delivery was timely from Docan. The one issue with a damaged battery was handled to my satisfaction. So now I have ordered two Mason kits...

2 sets of 2S8P - one set 160 volts, other set 166 volts...

2S4P setup.... not 2S8P.... my apologies.

2 sets of 2S8P - one set 160 volts, other set 166 volts...

is a 6 volt difference between the two sets of 2s8P panels important?
