I don't have the PV wire yet, ordering it soon. What kind of wire do you recommend for running the ground from panels, underground in conduit to inverters? I assume it isn't supposed to be bare copper.
Thank you both of you. I should have realized that. Makes sense now that i think about it ?♂️
1 1/2" will be much cheaper. Great. One more step figured out. Appreciate it.
I figured the 3" size based on 8 wires * 0.280" OD from:

It comes to 2.24" so seems like 2" would be too small or am I missing something?
389V and 11amps per PV wire. So it is basically just derating the wire but since it is low amperage (running panels in series) it won't have an effect really?
I just don't like the idea of direct burying, seems too risky to me. We have a lot of rocks in our area and even if I use sand the...
I'm running PV wire from panels 100-150 ferry underground 2'. I will have 8 10awg PV stands running in 3" pipe. It is rated for direct burial but for extra peace of mind I want to put it in conduit. Anyone see any negatives or code issues with using DWV drain PVC...
And one more question, what is this part exactly, looks like another fuse? Is there another one for negative too? Don't see it on parts list. What am I missing?
I bought the two inverters and batteries Will recommended in his blueprint linked below. I thought in one of his later videos he was recommending a different fuse situation. Maybe I'm wrong. So I'm asking if the blueprint list is still his current best recommendations and to anyone who has...
I have another question. Maybe a silly question. I understand that parallel adds up amps and series adds volts. So if I run series-parallel how does it work? If I run 4 panels in series and parallel them with 4 in series does this equate to the same total amps as if they were running in parallel...
Thanks for the reply. You said can switch wire... Is there any benefit to switching to thhn thwn-2 wire other than cost. We live in NY, it doesn't get extremely cold or hot here. It can drop below zero but not to -40 or something crazy so temperature isn't a good reason for us to choose a...
Hi, I have purchased 32 440w bifacial Canadian Solar panels, which I will link below. I also purchased 2 EG4 6.5kw inverters, and 6 x EG4 Lifepower4 48v 100ah batteries server rack.
I intend to install the panels on the ground using the EG4 racks, positioning them approximately 150 feet away...
