Can this really be a disconnect ( https://a.co/d/fuCknn6 ), operated under full load conditions – 300amps @ 60vdc? If it is not, but is merely an isolation device, it seems someone could get hurt using one as a disconnect. I complained about it to Amazon, but who knows where that stuff goes. Very clever to state "cut off current when it is not working".

It uses the terms “disconnect” and “isolator”, it just seems a tad misleading.

QUOTED:
1-2-Both-Off Battery Switch 12V-60V Battery Disconnect Master Cut Shut Off for Marine Boat Car RV ATV Vehicle Heavy Duty Battery Isolator Switch

Working Condition: The working condition for the battery switch is 12V-60V voltage and 0-300A

Applications: The battery disconnect is always used as a key part to cut off the current from the battery when it is not working. The switch can be applied to many marine boats RV ATV vehicles and other 12V-60V battery devices. And the switch have four buttons in total, 1-2-both-off. It will separate the battery easily and will let you control the power more convenient.

I', skeptical about pushing this too its limits. I looked at that switch or one just like it last year. Not UL listed, so I would not know if it is really rated to 4300 amps or not, but I suspect not.

Its carried by several different vendors each with a different part of the spec.

I read it was rated for 250 amps at 12 volts, 125 amps at 24 volts, so I assume it is rated for 62.5 amps at 48 volts.

I also do not recall this being rated for full current disconnect, but my better built UL rated Blue sea swtich is only rated to 24 volt loads for 350 amps, and distincty says it is NOT a full current disconnect rated device.

Does anyone have a link to an appropriate DC switch for the 48-58 volts we are using. I can't seem to find anything. There all rated 48 volt. No mention of nominal.
