Made a mistake on purchase.. I'm Sol?

So I made a horrible mistake. I didn't didn't realize AC220V was 220V. I didn't even know it was a thing.. Usually I know 120/240V.. . I thought it was a model number . I'm outside the return window now. Anyway I can salvaged this?

You can buy an autotransformer to step down to 120V but that is arguably throwing good money after bad: increases the number of components you need and requires you to be better at electrical design.

OTOH if you fancy yourself an EE or electrician, it could be an honorable challenge/educational opportunity

I'll pass. Ty for the reply. I'll save this my mom place. I was planning on getting a mini split for her anyways. This would fit the bill then.

It happens nowadays with the worldwide selling of things that meet standards for different countries. A person has to be careful to read and understand all the specifications. Possibly you can use it as a dedicated 240vAC inverter if it allows you to fix 60hz. Many of the Euro/Asia standard ones are designed to be 220vAC single phase 50hz. Even the ones that will go 60hz need a 60hz single phase input or they might start outputting 50hz.

Ty, I didn't even know think about the hz. When I was trying to keep it for the mini split. Lucky it say it works 50/60. Feel like an idiot on this. Life got in the way and didn't check it. I only notice it when I finally go time to read the manual.
