Connecting 6000Xp to grid?

I am getting ready to connect my 6000XP to the grid as a backup charging source. I have a Leviton panel with the generator interlock. I have seen others that run a 50a breaker to the "LOAD" input on the XP (that's where the interlock will be). My question is that the GRID on the Inverter will still be connected to the panel with a seperate 50a breaker. This does not seem safe so that breaker would also need to be tuned off. Is this the correct thinking since it would create a loop? Also since it is connected to the grid and bonded there I would need to disable the internal NG bond on the inverter.

Could you pls post a rough diagram. The description is a little confusing.

This is not a fool proof item.
You can wire it this way, but if the second breaker is on when the interlock is switched you could have problems.

Not sure if you can read it but the bottom left 50a breaker is for the "LOAD" on the 6000XP. The Leviton panels already have mounting holes for the interlock for the breaker in that slot (have not received the interlock plate yet). The upper right one would be for the "grid" connection

The interlock kit is only going to prevent the Main and the 50A LOAD breaker from being on at the same time. That leaves the "GRID to Inverter" breaker in a condition where it could be ON at the same time as the Load breaker. This would create a current loop, not good. At the very least it would cause the inverter to rapidly cycle back and forth between pass-thru and back up mode with loss of power between cycles. Worst case the inverter would be damaged.

You may be better off with a critical loads panel. I’m not sure what your goals are?

The reason I am doing it this way, is this is for future tiny home that will be on grid. I won't have have to worry about redoing everything. I do not plan on having to run it with the grid "ON". That is for worst case.
