I have Solar Assistant and Home Assistant setup. SA sends data to HA via MQTT broker, all works really well.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to see a sensor that allows you to change the start and end time of each grid charge slot. I can turn the slots on and off, but I can't change their times, it doesn't look like it's supported via MQTT.

Has anyone managed to find a workaround for this? I really need to modify the time slots on the fly.

wish I could help with an answer, but if you don't mind a question on your SA / HA via MQTT setup:

Are you using all eg4 hardware? I have a 6000xp and eg4 indoor battery on the way, and while I think the stock interface in the EG4 app is nice, I think long term I'll want to tinker with a custom Home Assistant interface being fed data through SolarAssistant (MQTT) In your setup you describe I was just curious if all inverter and battery data is available from that single SolarAssistant (MQTT) interface.

No. Not sold in Australia.

In your setup you describe I was just curious if all inverter and battery data is available from that single SolarAssistant (MQTT) interface.
In my case Solar Assistant communicates with my AIO inverter and also my Victron Smart Shunt for overall battery status. But instead of the shunt it can instead monitor the BMS of a battery system directly. My AIO inverter is not set up with closed loop comms with my battery, else it could also supply battery status data.

That's because I run a hybrid battery, LiFePO4 + sealed lead acid.

If your inverter is has closed loop communications with the battery then it is likely it will also supply the battery data via Solar Assistant. Else it is also possible for Solar Assistant to be connected to many different types of battery directly (for monitoring).

The Solar Assistant interface allows you to separately connect inverters and battery as data inputs (ignore the error message):

e.g., this data is coming from my Victron smart shunt, and shown in Home Assistant:

I also have a second Solar Assistant Raspberry Pi set up for monitoring just my server rack LiFePO4 batteries as I want more detailed info on their status:
