I have win10 on my desktop(upstairs)....i had thought of taking the BMS unit(& display) off the battery cells and powering it through my bench top supply, then when reconnecting it back to the battery pack i could simply redo all the settings. I'm just not overly confident using the BTS. Would you simply set it for 15V and 3A?
I havent read of anyone having issues when running win10.

That should work ..... The BMS itself will limit the current ... It should be very low current draw, especially since you will have no relays to power.
Do you have some of the power plugs?

yes, already have DC input adapter.

Out of curiosity, i presume you can go from ver4.0 to ver 4.03 without doing 4.02 firstly?

I think each release is a total replacement, so doing them in order is not necessary ..... but I don't remember seeing any info about that.
I went to 4.02 and then to 4.03 when it came out.

I used a 12V/1A power supply to update the BMS & LCD module when not connected to a battery pack. No problems at all.

Yippee...done the updates through win 10...no issues whatsoever ...thanks guys

Better still, i still retained all my settings including SOC %, WH & AH.
