Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

I have had chats with Amy through this process and also trying to make sure our folks here on the forum get well treated ad they are indeed. I can tell you that Amy has clocked a LOT of OT getting shipments out the door, she is the lady actually on the video's of the batt tests By the way. They put a lot out the door today, she even contacted at midnight her time to get me info... TBH, it's too bad won't be doing more business with them but I am hitting my LFP target of close to 1,000AH so I won't be needing any more cells.

PS/BTW: I suggested that Xuba send Will 4 cells for test, eval & review, Amy said she's considering it and will discuss it with the company management... I also sent her the links to this forum and threads, the main website & will youtube channel which she said she would look into. Fingers Crossed they do send Will 4 cells, I think it would be a win for everyone..
I second that , Amy answered my chat questions just before midnight their time, I received pictures of my cells, so far I'm more than satisfied with the whole process. She really cares. Hopefully everything arrives here without damage and works as promised.

First as Amy specifically asked I pass this informations along. Quote, Xuba has been selling batteries for over 10 years and they have stable and reliable suppliers they see no supply issues they will have more before they sell out of their current lot. end quote.

So figured I should just post my experience with Xuba, and Amy as she is a rock star.
I sent inquiry, she was quick responding at 5pm PST on monday. Created my order with bus bars and screws. I had payment issues, Alibaba refusing my CC payment. She created a whole new order as recommended by Alibaba to try again, it refused again. So I did a wire transfer, took a few days because I was not able to get to my bank for a few days then I got there after the 2pm cutoff for wire. Payment was received yesterday. She (Amy) promptly updated me that the order was paid and shipping soon.
order total $1059 USD shipped for 8 cells 16bus bars and screws (I ordered 16 as I wanted to double them up plus have some extras for another project).
Thanks to Steve and this community.
It sounds like it was an ordeal but really between my work/life schedule is the main delay, other than Alibaba for whatever reason not taking my CC. And that could be because it was a new account and first order.
I also ordered 2 (samples because MOQ of 10) of the smart bms 120a with Bluetooth ($64 ea USD) from this supplier on Alibaba for 158 shipped via DHL ($28 USD). Lilly was the contact and she said no problem for 2 samples. Should ship in a few days. Also said no delays due to virus.

She had to recreate my order a time or two due to issues with credit card processing. When I called Chase, I was told that they had not denied any recent transaction. Actually, they had, but it had not shown up yet, for some reason. When I called Chase back a second time, I was asked to confirm I had attempted a foreign charge. Once I did that, they green-lighted the next Xuba purchase transaction.

Received my tracking # (FedEx). Shipping out of Inglewood, CA (LAX airport area) today, and scheduled to arrive at my door Feb 24. That is much sooner than I had anticipated.
The FedEx tracking number I received from Amy is just for the domestic leg of the trip. I don't know if my packs have shipped out of China yet, but may ask Amy next week. The Monday February 24 estimated delivery date was surely based on when the label was created (Feb 19), and is not an accurate estimated delivery date. "Shipping label has been created. The status will be updated when shipment begins to travel" in the US.

Yes I tripped over the Visa CC thing too so I ended up doing a Wire TT (afterwards I discovered I could have just done through my online banking and it would have been even cheaper... go figure) but as soon as she had the TT she sorted it all out very promptly. It was all shipped out on Friday (yesterday) Air Express UPS and I have tracking in hand, not much use till it gets on continent though.

Can anyone confirm the terminal screw size? I would like to get some Ring connectors ordered, sized appropriately.
Any details would be great. Thanks

What insurance is there included with 'Wire transfers' or Online bank transfers, if 'x' manufacturer, 'y' overseas transport or 'z' local logistic co, screws up and order is lost, stolen, damaged etc etc etc(they all like to take a step back and blame each other). This is so disappointing that so many are having issues with CC payment to 'Ali'. There is now way i would consider overseas transactions without the CC insurance. Guess i'm old enough to be paranoid....lol.

I had no issue with CC at all, I'm not sure why others did. But I get your point, CC is my first option.

Hi, Per specs it is M4 screws at terminals.

M6 per the spec sheet I received.

"Remark: The pole is a double aluminum pole structure. The internal screw with size M6 is used in the poles. The anti-torsion of pole is 8Nm. The torsion should be less than 8Nm when used. The effective thread hole depth is 6mm."

I sure like M6 more, but this is where I'm getting M4, http://www.dcmax.com.tw/LF280(3.2V280Ah).pdf 6mm is the depth, per this document.
Or am I lookig at the wrong file?

Thank you, even better. I was little worried about the diameter there, I'm glad there is an updated document with the change on this. I guess at some point they used M4... M6 is much better at this capacity.

Thank goodness on the M6, M4 scares me.

Any recommendations/feelings on non permanent thread locking?
I will be building a sturdy case for the cells so they won't move. But I know the vibrations can still loosen that connection in a mobile application.

Maybe a regular lock washer? I don't know, I've never used it in mobile application. I'm not sure I would worry too much even with regular screws though.
Or this type (called Nord lock):

Nord lock washers are 1 million times better than the more common lock washers (they are more expensive too...).

You can also use Loctite (the blue one, not the red one or green one...) but I'm partial about that.

Then the best solution (but most time consuming one) is safety wire but that's only if you're very paranoid...

Anyone that has these, able to tell me the diameter of the contact area of the terminal posts?
Thanks.
If you don't need it perfect, then I would say about 18-19mm diameter, just judging from the inside 6mm and about the same distance on both sides.

i thougt the screw was an M4, so a drilled my copper bus bar to 4.2mm but when i received the batteries, i had to redrill everything to 5mm.
so i think it is M5 screws,
the aluminium circle to make contact is about 18mm.
