My build thread

You getting enough airflow under those panels?? I read where they suggest at least 4 inches of airspace to help cool things down for added efficiency.

Yes, there's about 3" between the panels and roof.
It actually flows better than expected.
I really expected the air coming out at the top to be a lot hotter.
Didn't take any measurements. Just judging with my hand.
This summer I plan to take some measurements. But I don't think it's going to be an issue.
Production is right where it should be.

Got the Hotspot mini split system installed and running. Just in time for the abnormal cold snap. It's going to get close to freezing by morning. So, I'm currently testing heating mode. The room is very toasty. Inside and outside units are whisper quiet.
I will test the cooling mode in a couple of days.
Very pleased so far.

It's replacing a 1500w space heater and a 2000w window A/C unit. Both were running on the inverters.

Mini splits are pretty amazing. I'm gonna bet you're going to see a major reduction in power consumption along with quieter and probably more stable temperatures. Can't wait to hear how it does with the near freezing temps.

Ok, now this is a bit over the top. lol
