EG4 6500ex with two EG4 48v 100ah LiFePo4 batteries will be delivered in three days. Just installed the first sheet of concrete board with a 10 circuit “solar” sub panel. Have received two pallets of panels from SanTan but haven’t installed them yet. It’s on the agenda.

All 10 circuits have been tied into the sub panel, with utility power supplying the load.

Will update this thread as I go.

I've had those for about a year now. Originally, it was just to view how much power we were using, especially to see if the wife/kids left all their electronics on all night or if someone decided to leave their heat press on, etc. Then, it was hmm, I bet I could save some coin (our energy costs have been rising a few times a year) if we could utilize solar. I live on a golf course and my backyard has zero trees (green space). Perfect for solar.

Alright, have the inverter installed with two batteries I put an A/B switch to allow me to also run a 30amp outlet to allow my generator to be used should I have no utility and I run out of juice

*the sub panel came with the outlet, so why not?

So you just using it as a UPS?

Do you have any PV panels?

I do have some panels. I just haven't installed them yet. I'm having a hard time making a decision on the racking I want to use. I bought 5kw of panels from SanTan Solar, they are 250w a piece and look in really good shape. Any racking you would recommend from experience? Roof mount.

All of mine are Ground mounts. I wouldn’t even know where to tell you to start for roof mounts.

A lot of knowledge on here about it if you can get the right people to engage.

Added more batteries and a communications hub. Also, have run the conduit to the roof and I have installed one string of panels on the IronRidge racking (roof mount).
