Solar Assistant Wish list, Bugs and Issues.

That’s the only thing that’s holding me back from the Beta
If you leave the beta program, you will not be able to downgrade to the latest stable release. You have to wait for a stable release to be newer than your current beta release. To leave the beta program, select "leave beta".

Does anyone have any information on when the stable version will be released? I like the backup option and more overview of jkbms. I don't want to switch to the Beta version.

I’ve got two JK bms’s that are connected to the solar assistant. They work well and report well but I find myself always looking at the app to actually see the most important thing that’s not reported on SA…. The delta (cell volt diff). SA reports useless info like battery capacity (static) cycles and secondary battery temperature. The time you need to get the delta info is usually at or near full charge but if you’re not actually in the vicinity you have no idea what transpired at that event. I’m betting that the JK outputs the data that’s found in the app header, just WISH that SA would dump the forementioned data and add the “cell volt diff” value. At least I had delta on the Daly.
If SA really wanted to impress me they’d graph the delta in charts but I’d be happy just getting the data remotely.
How do i achieve this please?
How do i connect my Deye inverter and JK BMS to SA and HA?

Any update on when email alerts may be available?

My wish list; email alerts and show all cell voltages (when connected to BMS) rather than just high, low, average...

I asked for email monitoring in Jan 2022!
Between Victron Venus OS and Home Assistant i've got it covered now, but nicer to catch issues on the initial monitoring platform though

Contacted support today, as I didn't see a way to alter time of use times for Deye/Sunsynk inverters via MQTT (charging levels and other settings can be adjusted, but not the times unfortunately). Anyone got a workaround, perhaps via the WebSocket API?

Thanks, I was trying to do this too, but with solark

New features:
  • Add automation functionality to power management tab.
  • Add support for Felicity Solar IVEM/IVPA inverters.
  • Support for more settings of Luxpower inverters.
  • Support for more settings of Megarevo inverters.
  • Support for more settings of Must PH18 inverters.
  • Support for more settings of Sumry inverters.
  • Support to read Upower UE Li battery range via Voltronic LIB protocol.
  • Support to read SunStonePower Lithium battery via Modbus protocol.
  • Support reading Growatt TL3-X external grid meter grid/load metrics.
  • Add Growat SPH/SPA "Export limiter" and "Export power rate" setting.
  • Add support for additional charge settings of InfiniSolar inverters.
  • Add USB Serial battery reading advanced settings to customize how data is interpreted.

I noticed this several beta versions back, but I see no changes to the Power Management tab in SA. 4 Beta releases it's said this, but no changes are evident. Am I missing something? Would be nice if they included whom might or might not see these changes it they only work with certain inverters. Maybe include what changes they made? It's so generic that they could have just updated the text on the page and this would count towards 'functionality'.. o_O

Also, The Sumry additional settings for my EG4 3k inverter .. not seeing anything new there either..

Almost like they keep making these release changes .. I update, but then nothing.. at.. all..

I’d like to see a change in the “Maintain battery state of charge” option.
The red line, Solar/Utility/Battery changed to Utility/Solar/Battery (or at least an option to).
I use this feature to decide whether to supplement grid charging during off peak hours. If the state of charge is high enough it’ll pass right over the red peak, if not it’ll be triggered and grid charge till the state of charge exits the green line where it switches back to SBU. All great right? Except if the sun hits your panels while you’re still SUB (grid charging) then it’ll give up the grid and use solar which isn’t productive at that hour. So your only option is to increase your charge current so it gets done earlier (goes through the green line sooner) but that tends to take more energy from the grid than I really needed, leaving less for solar fill. Yeah I’ve played with all the variables and it always gets back here for my setup. IMG_1065.jpeg
