Another great day, 2 in a row. 176.7kwh. Another sunny day tomorrow and then it looks like 4 days of clouds and even some rain in Wisconsin in the middle of December.

The last 3 days here have been very sunny. But the trees on the hill won't get out of the way. lol

I have trees in the late after noon. I can make 10kw at 3pm, and by 3:30pm it is gone, down to a few hundred watts coming in.
Why not both!!!
I’ve always wanted to rip up my driveway and throw some pex loops and 6” of concrete down and be the cool guy in the neighborhood with a heated driveway during snow storms with our wood boiler, I figure it’d prob be 40-60k.
I’ve seen houses on the NH Seacoast with such set up (via electric), not quite my tax bracket though.
Nice little Kubota with a snow plough would be much cheaper - and more fun

I’m in the same boat.
You are obsessed lol. I am happy to pay the man when it's cloudy out or the trees are in the way. I would have to buy all my neighbors property to clear all the trees.

I have to clear my trees. In order to place panels where the sun isn't blocked by trees that aren't mine.
And yes, I am obsessed with being completely self reliant for my electrical needs. As far as obsessions go, I don't think that it is a bad one.
I've been this way my entire life. Once I lock on to an idea. I have no choice but to see it through.
