I am just running a ground through my dry contacts. My generator just looks for a ground signal which makes it easy.

The 18k does the same thing, but if more load is requested then the setting it will go over it. I believe they are working on a update to allow the inverter to supplement the generator in a similar overload situation.

I went with 2 18kpv’s and 6 power pro batteries. Completely off grid and very happy with the setup.

Yes EG4 has released a new firmware that addresses the flickering.

Why do you need an extra inverter. The solark can run off grid by itself. That way you can use your same inverter but in off grid mode.

The 18k does not need a transfer switch. It will turn the generator on and off as it needs to. You just have to have a 2 wire start generator or start controller.

They are absolutely the weakest point, however I think they are plenty strong. Each hinge is only holding about 400 lbs of weight. I fully welded all the bends on the hinges also. They only way they can fail is by shear.

Ok I linked the ground at the aray to the ground at my disconnect that my inverters are tied into. I used 2x 10awg lines for giggles.

I used the mc4 parallel connectors. I am also In a rural area with no inspections.

I love that thing, I bought it for my construction company and we use it way more then initially thought we would. It can lift 2000 pounds pretty easily but starts to tip forward after that. It’s not a hydraulic issue it’s all about counter weight.

Thank you! If I was able to produce all day I would get about 120kw. Since I only have 4 of the 6 batteries installed currently I am getting about 70kw. Usually the batteries are fully charged by noon and it’s just sipping solar to run the house.

I didn’t even have time to paint this year, we are going to passing it all come spring with a rust converter. I decided I was going to do this oct 1st, ordered everything and then did the install. Insanely compressed time line. Trying to get it done by the end of the year for the tax credits.

Honestly I’m happy I built mine because it’s custom but if I did it again I would buy a mount system and just design my own pivot. One person can adjust mine the way it is 14’ tall 35’ long but 2 is more comfortable. I have about $4k in the metal.

The gray cables are for battery to inverter and inverter to inverter. The green cables are the communication cables between the batteries. I doubt that will fix the problem but worth a try.
