    New Tariffs in the States

Exactly, and our government has heavily subsidized Tesla. There would be no Tesla without California subsidies and Federal subsidies. I honestly see no difference between them and the car makers from China, let the market decide who survives and who dies. Our government loves to give handouts...

    New Tariffs in the States

The industry will just move products to other locations for shipping. BYD is already discussing building in Mexico to avoid US tariffs. What happened to the good old US of A and free markets ….. Let companies fail if they can’t compete, it’s really that simple. I’m all for letting BYD sell...

    Cabin build 2hp well pump

Grundfos well pumps are the way to go or run a soft start on the current pump. For the solar system you will need to provide more info before folks can give you ideas. Whats your power usage look like at the cabin ? One thing I will suggest upfront is try and go 48v from the start, it will...

Thanks guys, I searched for this info all over this morning and couldn’t find it. All I could find is how to size the breaker by times 1.56 ….and so on.

    Victron charge settings

Ok I have a breaker question. I have 15amp 300VDC midnight breaker for my solar string. I can’t seem to figure out if I add up VOC to get the volts I need to stay under or do I add up VMPP and stay under that ? My VMPP comes out to 276.8 VDC and my VOC comes out to 328 VDC. So if I go off...

    Victron charge settings

Ok I have another question. I hooked up my 450-100 MPPT today to my system/ Cerbo / multi plus . I have not hooked up my solar panels yet so maybe this is my issue, or maybe I don’t have an issue and it’s just me not understanding how this works. So the MPPT screen is on, button is turned on...

    Victron charge settings

I can get it to around 99% before OVP triggers with it plugged in to the Cerbo, with it unplugged it gets to 100% but when it’s unplugged it charges with way higher Voltage and if I understand what Sunshine Eggo is saying it’s best I just charge with the Cerbo on so I can control the Voltage...

    Victron charge settings

What I don’t get is when I unplug communication it takes 57.6 and charges without tripping anything and goes to float. Why it trips OVP, is odd since my 5K won’t keep pushing Voltage to it when this occurs. At least not that I can see. Seems like maybe the BMS is telling the Victron to stop. I...

For some reason the batteries shut down charging when this goes off. I can look at their screens and they both show no amps going in.

    Here is the numbers when OVP goes off. This is after I turned up the Voltage to charge at 54.8 and it’s connected to the Cerbo #2 Battery 1 3364. 9 3376 2 3465. 10 3369 3 3436. 11. 3598 4 3368. 12. 3398 5 3543. 13. 3364 6 3366. 14. 3360 7 3386...

    Victron charge settings

Well it made it back to 54.4 without setting off the OVP… I’m guessing I need to start walking the voltage up higher slowly? Say 54.6 The cell voltages are moving around right now so maybe it’s best to just let it sit here over night ? I’m not really sure but I can tell you this is progress…

    Victron charge settings

I think the system is working right and I’ll monitor it today as it charges back up, hopefully I can get the SOK’s to communicate with the Cerbo after a few charges open loop. Naz Solar talked with me for quite awhile and I have a much better understanding of how this all works together...

    Victron charge settings

Ok so my son figured out the issue with the low battery light coming on when you remove the data cable from the batteries to the Cerbo. So if you just un plug it like Current Connected has us do when The system is on it will start flashing and beeping saying low battery almost like it thinks...

I can get the cell info in the morning, I’m in a hotel till tmrw. This is all the info I can see from here and honestly I’m not sure what VRM is. I blacked out the serial numbers not sure if that matters.

    Victron charge settings

This is the info the battery shows on my Cerbo , could this be why it keeps setting off the High voltage alarm? The charge settings on the Mp I have set to 57.6 for absorption like cc advised, the CVL limit as you can see is 56.0V and I can’t change that, it’s set like this and locked. Maybe I’m...

    Victron charge settings

I was confused when I read the manual on that setting , so to be safe I set it to match what’s programmed in the Multi to protect my wall outlet till I take the system off grid. I’m sure you are right and I could have left it alone. Do you think that setting could set off OVP alarms ?

my apologies I wasn’t trying to be a dick to anyone. I tried to describe as best I could what was happening with the batteries to CC, the batteries had two cells each that would go haywire is how I describe it. I would charge these till OVP would set off an alarm on the multi, the multi is...
