Yes. I have mine set up with the chassis ground going to a negative busbar and everything else grounded off of that as well. Common ground works for everything in a DC setup.

Update on my charger. I sent it in to be tested. It was found to be defective and they are sending me a new one. I also got this email yesterday claiming that the first run of this model was deemed not up to standards. So anyone with the serial number seen below can exchange it for a new one...

Yeah I was wondering about that. So I put it under a load until the battery light turned yellow, still nothing. I just got off the phone with them. They are going to take it back and test it. Hopefully it's a defective unit, because I think I've run out of ways to trouble shoot this thing.

That's not new, It's the sku of the unit. I pre-ordered mine and it has the same number.

I'll try but its tough to find them now, everything is so tight in these engine compartments these days. Shouldn't be much of a drop, I'm using 1/0 welding cable that is only about 6ft or so long.

Thank you! That's a different manual then the one I found online and I couldn't find anything about it either. Seems odd to me that it needs a separate ground. Why wouldn't they just use the same ground as the charger itself? Save us the extra wiring. Appreciate the help!!
