Ecoflow Delta = Westinghouse IGEN 1000s?

Sucks that you got lousy support. Thanks for letting us know. As for the watt hours, actually that’s in the ballpark for a battery of the rated size, after inverter inefficiency. Jackery inverter for 1000 w version seems more efficient.

    Westinghouse iGen1000s portable power station

That's disappointing. I got more watt hours out of mine with higher drain applications. I think they, like the Ecoflow Delta, are best for shorter term high output uses. Contrast the Jackery 1000 which seems suited for longer term, lower output. But the Jackery doesn't fast charge as does the...

    Westinghouse iGen1000s portable power station

I ran across an Ecoflow refurb on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/353608757121 I didn't find warranty info in my quick skim. For me, I'd pay the extra and get the new Westinghouse.

    Westinghouse iGen1000s portable power station

Further thoughts on the iGEN 1000s... I'm investing in backup for when the grid goes down. A 1 kWh (1000 watt hour) portable power station is part of my solution, because although I have a dual fuel generator, I don't want to run it all of the time. I want to use the generator to quickly charge...

    Charging LiFEP04 with AIMS inverter/charger

Thanks @smoothJoey So what is the charging practice? Can I use the AGM1 profile and not worry about turning off the charger at any given time?

    Charging LiFEP04 with AIMS inverter/charger

Hi, I'm using an 2000 watt AIMS inverter/charger that was made before LiFEP04 batteries became popular, circa 2013. It doesn't have a setting for LiFEP04 batteries. Here are the available profiles, from a photo of the unit: In response to a similar inquiry, @snoobler suggested using the AGM1...

    Ecoflo melting car charger

My Ecoflow Delta got my auto accessory 12 v socket hotter than I could comfortably touch after a couple of hours of charging. It was pulling over 130 watts according to the Delta, which is over the spec of such sockets. I'm not going to do that again. Charging off the car's 12 v battery with the...

Aims Power inverter/charger with SOK 206ah batteries - will these charge properly?

Can you provide more info re use of AGM setting with AIMS inverter to charge LFP? Thanks. EDIT: I understand your recommendation to use AGM1. Would one just charge until maximum charge is reached then manually disconnect?

Tesla + Ecoflow River = backup for longer outages?

Regarding use of the vehicle‘s 12 volt socket, I experimented with recharging an Ecoflow Delta from the 12 volt socket of a Kona EV running in utility mode. After a couple of hours the socket got very hot. I had been pulling about 130 watts according to the Ecoflow Delta.

    Relatively inexpensive LiFEP04 solar generator

I was intrigued by the Rockpals 1000, a LiFEPO4 generator on sale at this writing at Amazon for about $650 (after you clip the coupon on the page). I couldn't find any reviews, nor much info about the brand. Not particularly fast charging, but seems a good price for the tech. Non-affiliate link.

    Jackery efficiency

Former CPAP user here, with some non solar generator options. A solutionthat might work for one of you, is an oral appliance in lieu of the CPAP machine. I was skeptical of these, but tried one and my O2 levels are fine. Doesn't work for severe SA. Also, the tiny Resmed Air Mini sips power and...

Ecoflow Delta = Westinghouse IGEN 1000s?

The Westinghouse IGen 1000s is very like the Ecoflow Delta, although they claim slightly longer charging time, and a little less kWh capacity, less running and surge output for the Westinghouse. The differences are small enough that I wonder if the hardware actually is any different. The...

    Step up transformer use

Any thoughts on using a step up transformer to take a 120 vac from a 2000 watt AIMS inverter to 230 vac to run a 2 wire 230 vac Grundfos soft start well pump? I was thinking of this one https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F371663361912. I’ve also...

    Inverter sizing for well pump

Hi all, I have a Gould’s 3/4 hp 230v 2 wire well pump. It’s about 30 years old. I’m trying to figure out starting and running amps to size an inverter. . I don’t have access to the model number. Their tech support says running amps is 8, but they didn’t have info on starting amps. I‘ve read...

I want to power my 1 HP well pump that is U.S. 240v split phase from a small solar system.

Good advice, thanks. I plan to look at the pump sticker. It’s a bit of a hike through the snow to get to it. [b QUOTE="Ulmo, post: 41071, member: 528"] Sounds good, but remember to compare it to other motors, because the clamp-on's have a response time that may be longer than the startup...

    Fuelzero 24V 50AH

Inverter is speced at 88% I recall. Seems like I got what I paid for with the battery. agreed that direct measure of dc output would be better. I’m almost tempted to buy a capacity tester as Will demoed in a recent video, but I have no ongoing use for it.

I want to power my 1 HP well pump that is U.S. 240v split phase from a small solar system.

Thanks for your thoughts. Alas, I'm not in a position to use a relatively low voltage DC submersible pump, as my well head is about an eighth of a mile away, on my neighbors property. He (for good reasons) doesn't want me to have equipment like a solar installation there.

    Fuelzero 24V 50AH

You‘re welcome, JoeHam. I too would like someone with more experience to help interpret the results. Did you see @Will Prowse’s recent video re capacity testing for beginners? I’m tempted to buy one of those cheap testers.

I want to power my 1 HP well pump that is U.S. 240v split phase from a small solar system.

A single battery? Seems to me that the surge current could be more than some single batteries could handle. For instance, my 24 v 50 ah battery will put out 70 amps peak for 2 minutes, 50 amps continuous. Would such a battery be able to handle the startup amps and the ongoing load? Thanks.

    Fuelzero 24V 50AH

Kindly take this post with a grain of salt, as I’m among the least knowledgable people on this board. My needs and use: I have a backup battery/inverter system in case the grid goes down for awhile. I don’t need a lot of power. In the winter, a couple of hundred watts over night for our furnace...
