I had the v-sense cables hooked directly to the threaded terminals which seemed to have a good connection. Also, I believe cell voltage was displayed on the EB40. I'll confirm the connections and reading.

Ya the concern was sharp threads punching through the shrink wrap and shorting cells. I personally wouldn't cover the BMS.

To give it a neat finish and safeguard against cell shorting, consider covering those threaded rods with blue PEX.

There is a risk of fire hazard is increased with broken panels. I'd consider a ground mount instead.

I believe the manufacture gets away with lighter cabling on the BMS due to it's 200°C insulation rating. This rating is what I am concerned about maintaining. Likely just over analyzing and over thinking it but I'll likely get some PTFE heatshrink anyway.
