    need help building 32650 battery

I too am in search of good 32700/32650 cells. I am in the process of trying several vendors, typically getting a pack of 12 since the price is often just a bit more than if you bought 2 or 4. I started naive, going after the 12.8ah batteries, thinking 'great, more capacity in same space'. Boy...

    Battery Buying Guidance

I am pretty sure the 7ah 32700 battery he mentioned is meant as a description as to what brand type he will be getting. It's a 3.2v cell, you can't run those 12v led's off of it. He says 12a-14a ...I presume he meant 12 to 14ah. That means a 2P4S battery pack. Cheers

Power Bench Charging 'curve' (or lack thereof) vs Solar Charge Controller

Thank you for confirming this for me. Appreciate your time

Power Bench Charging 'curve' (or lack thereof) vs Solar Charge Controller

That is what I thought and observed indeed. What puzzles me is why do SCC towards the end of charging do all he shenanigans of tapering the current to the batteries, when the batteries will do it on their own. That is what I don't get

Power Bench Charging 'curve' (or lack thereof) vs Solar Charge Controller

Hey folks... just a quick question. I am trying to understand the difference between charging LFP batteries via a small bench power supply versus a solar charge controller. For the sake of this question, ignore the whole mppt etc...I am just interested in the amps being pushed into the battery...

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

That is a different type of bms. Namely the Jbd BMS have a pluggable BT. The SOK does not. But I spoke to the manufacturer and got the schematics of the 3 resistors that provide power to the BT and unsoldered them. Problem solved.

BMS Cell Leads and XH2.54 Max Amperage - Incompatible Specs?

Ok one more question comes to mind. I understand about the BMS. How about an Active Balancer like a Heltec, which can balance up to 5amp? Am I not wrong it uses XH2.54 connector that is rated only at 3amp? And those tiny wires do supply the actual current no? Or How about the Neely Active...

BMS Cell Leads and XH2.54 Max Amperage - Incompatible Specs?

Thank you kindly for the response. That makes far more sense! I knew I was missing something obvious! Cheers

BMS Cell Leads and XH2.54 Max Amperage - Incompatible Specs?

Hey everyone...building my own battery pack from 32700 cells and trying to understand some specs here. It seems, unless I am mistaken, that most BMS use the XH2.54 connector standard from JST. Here are the specs on that, straight from the manufacturer. It says clearly, max 3amps (for #22 AWG)...

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

This is getting tiresome. I posted evidence to back my claims. You posted vague old and childish claims. I explained to one of the posters why I did not want bluetooth in the BMS. I am done on this topic with the likes of you.

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

Thanks for the diagnostic doctor. You can keep it. Perhaps you can go to hospitals and tell all the people whose symptomps you do not have nor understands it's all in their heads too. Life evolved with the sun's microwave radiation which is tapered by the ozone. When ozone is depleted or there...

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

Ah, you are one of those experts that come in here saving the world from the likes of me so they won't be mislead. Awesome. I get actually sick from microwave radiation, and I do not need experts like you to tell me that my body really ought to feel good in presence of microwaves. Working in RF...

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

Clearly you have not read about how EMF propagates via microwaves and also due to its digital nature is very different to low intensity analog EMR induced from other devices. No, you don't have bad news for me. My devices are relatively safe and you know precisely zero about my setup. Instead...

    Newbie with Conext system questions

Sorry, also a newbie. But from the little I know, I keep hearing on the forums that LiFePo4 batteries do not need absorption mode. So I am not sure why is Schneider asking for it if you told them these are LF batteries? Also, it seems to me, any battery vendor worth its salt would post these...

    BMS for Schneider Conext

Thank you for the precision. That is what I thought. I understand that would be ideal, yes. Hence vive open standards, because once again we can see in this nascent solar industry, when corporations left to their own devices, they develop their own systems they want to lock you in then and keep...

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

Well that will be a problem for me then, because I avoid wireless devices due to severe health issues. I will have to take it up with the manufacturer, because they sold me something they did not advertise. Damn it. As well, these batteries can be used for various reasons. In some situations...

    2x SOK 206Ah or 4x SOK 100Ah?

Interesting. ti was not aware they all are using bluetooth. That is actually a problem for me. Is there a way to turn the bluetooth module off and still have the BMS function?

    BMS for Schneider Conext

I am new to LifePo4 setups and have older (circa 2014) used schneider 24v equipment I am about to integrate with new 4 x SOK 206ah 12v batteries 2S2P. I have the MMPT 60, XW 3.5kw inverter, the SCP, combox but not the batt mon. I was under the impression one just had to set the right parameters...

    Sok Batteries and Bus Bars...

Hi there. I have 4 12V batteries coming the 206ah SOK marine types for an offgrid setting in the mountains of BC, Canada. The system will be using Schneider MPPT and Schneider 3.5KW Inverter. The system will be a 24V system; thus, I will be wiring 2 batteries in series and then the 2 such packs...
