Faulty Multimeter reading inverter 160v across Hot and Neutral... 140v across Neutral and Ground

Apparently my multimeter is defective... I ran to the neighbors to borrow his meters and tried with 3 others and they all read proper 120v readings. Even after trying 3 pairs of batteries in my Commercial Electric brand meter, and testing it out on my home outlets which gave correct results, it...

Faulty Multimeter reading inverter 160v across Hot and Neutral... 140v across Neutral and Ground

Yes the meter was on AC, as you can verify in the videos linked. Not sure why Vevor color coded the output wires yellow and red and black.

    Ground/neutral bond? (EG4 3kw)

I appreciate the lesson in how to check this myself, good to know. editing this comment to remove details that I found were an error due to defective multimeter.

Faulty Multimeter reading inverter 160v across Hot and Neutral... 140v across Neutral and Ground

I should add that I took my multimeter to my home outlets in my house and it read a normal 122v across hot/neutral and hot/ground, and 0 volts across neutral/ground, so I do believe my meter is working correctly. Edit: and another comment; the Inverter does not have a grounding lug so it is not...

Faulty Multimeter reading inverter 160v across Hot and Neutral... 140v across Neutral and Ground

***I have edited this post and title and leaving it up as a learning lesson to myself and others. My multimeter was giving me very strange readings from my inverter output, even after swapping with fresh batteries twice and testing on multiple outlets inside of my house which gave correct...

    Vevor inverter? 3500w pure sine

I Just installed one today and am getting erratic voltage readings on the outputs (160v across hot and neutral). I presume its defective, but I'm a total inverter newb. I'm going to make a post about it to create visibility.

    Ground/neutral bond? (EG4 3kw)

It is not a Charger, only inverter. The manual is pretty useless and can't find it online. I've attached a few pics of the only relevant pages of the little 8 page booklet that came with it.

    Ground/neutral bond? (EG4 3kw)

Hello FilterGuy, I've struggled to find a clear answer to my question, but the information you've posted has helped. I think the statement I've quoted above is pointing me in the right direction, but I'd like some additional clarification, if possible. You say both zero N-G bonds and more than...
