Don't count on being able to adjust everything. And lot of different batteries use different BMS and the bluetooth apps mostly only read them. Critical settings are usually locked away behind a password. A battery manufacturer may not be keen on supplying the password to you.

If that was the case then no SCC manufacturer would recommend or endorse oversizing. They talk about oversizing as when the moment you have more PV going to the controller than the controller can output at the system's voltage.

On grid tied feedback inverters, oversizing is when you have more watts of PV installed than the capacity rating of the inverter. Like 6kw of PV to a 5kw inverter. It's the common definition of oversizing.
