400 watt limitation with typical MPPT controllers.

I had thought if I ran 3 pair of 100 watt panels each set in parallel and then connect the sets in series I could get 600 watts through a 30 amp 50 volt MPPT controller. Thoughts?

So "Typically" without knowing all your specs ... at 30A

If your running a 12V system -- you can input 580W

If your running a 24V system -- 1170W

I am running a 12volt system. I am running the panels flat not tilted so I will not be getting the full output from the panels which is why I am going to 600 watts. Thnx for the help!

Yeah i don't see any issues .. are you running LFP or other?? Just curious ... And YES - running a FLAT mounted cell you are going to probably be pushing only getting 60% of the max anyway ...
