I did a search on Youtube for [aa battery reviews]. Different reviewers test how much capacity they have, cheapest price per amp hour, and consistency.

Summary: Dollar Tree Sunbeam AA batteries were most expensive per amp hour. Higher grade batteries were usually cheaper per amp hour but not every one was. Link: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=AA+battery+review

Likewise, here are test results for 18650 cells on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=18650+battery+review. 18650s are sometimes used for DIY powerwalls.

Typically, if the 18650 ships from China (based on other reviews I've seen) and is real cheap, it has lower capacity than its label, sometimes much lower. If the capacity is really high, then it's also fake. I haven't seen any 18650s with a higher capacity than 2500mah on the market though 3000mah are rumored to exist in a lab.

Here's a search for 18650 reviews on web pages. Web page make it easier to copy and save an efficiency graph or other graphs if they have one. https://lmgtfy.com/?q=18650+battery+review&s=d&t=w

NOTE: LMGTFY.com lets you use a shortened link to provide some one with a link to your search terms via your favorite search engine. It started out supporting only Google but now supports Duck Duck Go and several more search engines. Click on my lmgtfy links to see what happens in the short animation. :)

Also DuckDuckGo.com has a feature called "bangs" which allow you to search quickly on one website. So entering on DDG [!a reliable 18650 battery] would search Amazon.com for [reliable 18650 battery]. See https://duckduckgo.com/bang
