Another Standards Question...

Saw these panels advertised for sale. The manufacturer label says ETL certified and "conforms to ... (various UL standards)"

Does this really mean anything for US use / obtaining permits / etc?

ETL is one of the Nationally Recognized Testing Labs, and I believe that is the correct version of the stamp to pass inspection.

RU, CE, CCC, etc are useless.

CE is required for Europe.... so i wouldn't quite call it useless ....for Americans maybe ;-)

Yeah that was based on the fact that it was for US permitted use.

I guess foreign listings like CE and CCC are better than nothing if doing an unpermitted install
