hey all!
I have seen one build on here using the BYD260AH cells, forget who, but it looked sweet. I keep seeing pretty cheap cells but also plenty of packs pre-assembled (pulled out of something? bus? car?) using these cells on alibaba - eg ;
various packs are around, eg 8S ~ 450 USD etc.
I am running a 302AH 16S pack at the moment (around 120 cycles / just under 6 months on it, running smooth), but... you know... could always use more storage. One of these packs... looks like you could almost hook up a BMS and go, without worrying about a fixture, etc etc, just add a frame and wheels type thing... run it in P with my current setup...
chatting to the vendors about the cells origin the story seems to be, these cells are 'fairly new' taken out of 'test vehicles', but most seem to indicate the test capacity on these is around the 240-250AH range, so a bit of degradation. My worry is these are really cells with 1-2K cycles on them already...
wondering if anyone has bought one or more of these packs? did you use it as is? capacity?
