I'm hoping for some review / commentary on my design for the house system on my boat.

Parameters

  • The boat is a fully residential dutch barge, lived on 365 days/year.
  • All electric kitchen with 240v domestic appliances (induction cooktop, oven, separate fridge, freezer, combo washer dryer)
  • Loads can reach up to 30-32A
  • Generator, Isolation transformer, sterling battery charger and 4X12v batteries are existing equipment
  • Installation will be in a large dry engine room
  • Daf 575 engine with dual 24v alternators
  • Images in diagrams not exact equipment matches. List of component on left of diagram
  • Cerbo GX unit not shown
  • Primary requirement is to reduce reliance on shore power, and be able to cruse occasionally without compromise to liveability (it's my home, i don't want to feel like I'm camping).
  • Not all fuses marked, just the primary ones. Cable size not marked.
  • For now, no alternator charging of main 48v bank. In future looking to add a 48v alternator with wakespeed 500 controller and remove house 24v alternator
  • Typical usage summer 8-10kWh. Winter 6-8kWh (water heating by diesel boiler in winter)
Thanks for any thoughts.
