I'm located in suburban Chicago. In my plans are the building of a shop outbuilding. It will likely be under 200 square feet to avoid the need for permits, and use underground pipes to provide the majority of heating/cooling. A wood stove of some type will compliment this for winters. I would also like to install off-grid solar power. Primarily this will be lighting and battery chargers. Most of my work is done with human powered tools. Although I have an old table-saw and jointer which could be used on occasion.

So that's my story and as Steve Kerr once said "I'm sticking to it."
