I want to add some more panels to my setup and just want to make sure I'm not overdoing it.

I have the Aptos 400w panels which have VOC: 37.18V, ISC: 12.99A.

I'd like to put 16 of them on one string into the 25 A port which I think might be too much.

16 * 37.8 = 604.8 V (I think the max is 600v).

Am I right?

Yes. Plus you need to leave room for temp adjustment during cold weather.

It might be ok to 8s2p at 26 amps. The 25a port would max out at 25a, and leave the rest (if there is any). Might want to check the max ISC for the port.

I think I know this answer, but just to clarify. The first 2 ports on the 18kpv is combined to 31amp max. Is it really just acting like a combine box but right at the ports? I would have to run each string to each of the ports (1 and 2) to take advantage? I couldn’t combine it at the array and run 1 string to the first port and keep it under 31?
