Pricing in used panels

What I do is calculate the price of used panels at 90% output to account for degradation, just so I'm comparing apples to apples
Quality panels are designed and guaranteed to still output 80% after 20/25 years. Basically 1% loss per year. If you buy 10 year old panels. 90% is a good figure. The ones I have were 3 years old. So, they were a really good deal.
I'm sure that 80% will be more than enough for me in 20 years. Because lights, appliances, and equipment just keeps getting more efficient.

Is there paperwork showing they were installed somewhere? Maybe they were sitting out in the sun, waiting to be installed? :ROFLMAO:

Will they ever know? ........only if they check.
Will they ever check? ..........unlikely, but proceed at your own risk.

The inxeption.com one is a much better deal with free shipping and larger panel which means half the mounting cost and will last longer, but requires picking them up from a local distribution center and not delivered to your door for this particular panel. Not sure if that's the case with all panels. The is definitely the deal to beat right now

You can have them delivered to you for a small additional charge.

Connected and producing, I would suppose.

Well it was a failed install. Never got permission to operate ...

I was just stupidly joking around.

I'm not sure why the United States government would care whether they are new or used Chinese panels? It's not like they are brand new American panels otherwise. Honestly, used panels would give less fresh new money to the Chinese.

How do you know how old they are? They just told me they are typically 7 years old, but no specific info on them. From my research, my panels first came out over 10 years ago

The first two batches said 3 years old.
I'm not sure how old the last batch was. But they appear to be in the same condition. (Actually looked newer)

I've purchased 164 panels from SanTan Solar. Used Trina 240, 245, and 250w. Very pleased with them all at under $30 each. ($0.13/watt)
And just recently purchased 31 new NEsolar 370w panels from inxception. $68 each. ($0.18/watt) this was a great deal. Both prices include S&H to my door.
There are great deals out there for new and used panels. And I believe that the deals are only going to get better.
Did the seller for the NESolar panels indicate anything regards to them possibly being out of business?

Here is what the altEstore is saying about NESolar: "These panels are an excellent deal- the best we've ever seen, however it's come to our attention that the manufacturer's website is down and there is no contact information available. Until we hear more news, we are considering this company to be out of business and a warranty claims will not be able to be processed for this module. Please purchase with this info in mind - we have many other solar panels from established companies if you are concerned about the warranty."

Not sure how much difference that makes in real life. Anyone have luck with claiming a warranty from any manufacturer just before the warranty ends?

If it's like one panel that goes bad, I wouldn't even bother with a claim either way. I just get an extra panel and store it just in case. They're only like $30-40 per panel. Why go through so much trouble for that?

I don't think it was mentioned. But that's what I figured.
I don't ever expect to make a warranty claim on solar panels, down the road.
