Worked out a $88 per unit price picked up plus 3% card fee (no fee for cash but I love my points, and easier to write off for business). So over all great deal I think
  • Post in thread: JK BMS CAN info

Afternoon guys, New to these boards and comunity though will start off with a question. I have PB2A16S20P JK bms coming for a custom project, and for the life of me cant find any documentation on protocols on it. I can see work done on RS485 side, however I need to comunicate with it over CAN...

Been reading a lot of mixed reviews on these boards about Ducan and EzEal supplier, but since they are close by to me, decidedd to try out 16 of the "v3" EVE lf280k. Got them home, did 8s config charge without BMS monitoring each cell to see if any of them jumps out. So far, charging went well...
  • Post in thread: Using Huawei R4850G2 at 240v

took a chance today. Did L1 to live and l2 to neutral first, and ps ran fine. Then added a ground but only hooked up by the most fine wire I could find in hopes that if there is something funky it will just flow the wire like a fuse at over 1amp. Well….it ran! Hooked up the ground using same...

Well as I have posted the test results, they are far exceeding the specified capacity, and was pleasantly surprised to see my results align with the provided spreadsheet. Also at nearly full charge (without any compression), there was almost no deformation or bloating. So a very satisfying first...

Huawei R4850 seesm like a great power supply with ability of being controlled over can with ease, BUT AC inputs on those is Live, Neutral and Ground. That is great for Euro guys with 240v, however US 240v is split phase. Now, is it possible to get this supply working on 240v US? L1 to Live, L2...

Well thank you for the conflicting info! I wanted to hookup ground with the l1/l2 setup, but after reading previous comments got a bit skeptical. Would hate to kill the supply since it’s china only order and no one in US stocks them sadly. Now it’s decisions decisions to make regarding ground.

Single stud but according to them V3 280, which for sure looks like it. Production dates (if we trust the qr) show summer of 2023. I searched high and low to get to the bottom of this stud vs double thread post, and can’t really figure it out. What it seems to me is that all these suppliers get...

Yep that is what I have heard too. Wish EVE would make a statement to clarify their product but that’s just wishful. And yes, I’m assembling my first pack this weekend (once finish building a wall box) and snapping terminals is for sure one thing I’m afraid. They are for sure octagon type...

  • Post in thread: JK or HKIVI BMS

Was just purchesing a PB2A16S20P JK BMS from china of course, and requested technical info from the seller. Tehy provided the tech documents on it, however the company in the docs is "HKIVI". Am I being taken on for a run here, and they are trying to give a fake/knockoff JK brand or is JK and...

Ezeal directly and later on today they sent me report and it included my battery packs. Here is QR. not the best angle and will try to shoot it better tomorrow. Did my own test of charging, letting the battery sit and sattled at 3.37v. Ran constant load until cell hit 3.0v with results of...
