Thanks everybody. I monitored everything remotely from work, and dang it, they never shut off the power! I was really excited to test the solark 15k and batteries! I am glad that the solark changes behavior when the power goes down though. It helps me to think about the future. E
My utility company is planning an outage to do service this morning. I understand that the solark 15k will not send voltage back to utility, my question though is whether I have to change settings on my solark. Right now I limit the amount of power to 1kw to my loads from the battery, since I...
Wow. I am amazed by the knowledge on this forum. It is below freezing here outside Philadelphia today, but I am going to start on the MicroAir and then maybe play with the thermostat timing a little bit. In the meantime, I would love to learn how to do the relays. Maybe @JayArr can provide...
I contacted Honeywell, and this is what they said, "Unfortunately we dont have devices that communicate with each other, we only have zoning panels for those applications and even then they cannot be setup to limit the amount of zones asking for cooling or heating."
Excellent idea. I have to do this anyway, because I have to buy the MicroAir soft starts and get ready to install them. Of course, we did have some snow squalls today :)
Wow. This is an amazing discussion and above my head. I spent a lot of time learning solar and batteries! Not I have to do the same for hvac and raspberry pi and python and other things. I guess I was hoping there was some off the shelf Honeywell smart thermostat that could do this?
These are great questions.
I only installed the solark 15k in December, and so I never thought to measure inrush and current during the summer.
My thought is that I don't want all three air conditioners to run at the same time. I would be okay for any two of them to run at the same time...
I have a 4000 sq ft home, and I diy self installed 9.8kw panels on the roof (Solaredge7600) and 5.6kw panels on the ground (Solark 15k) as well as 20kwh Pytes batteries. I have three 2 ton AC units in different zones. I want to install three Microair soft starts, but I also want to know if...

This is not UL listed for the Pytes battery, but I found one local for good price $300

I did need to buy the rear server rack rails and four shelves.
I have both running, but I currently have the DC side feeding one 200amp panel and I have the solaredge feeding a separate 200amp panel. I have 400 amp service at my house. Hence, the solark does not see the solaredge yet.
One day I will bring the solaredge in through the Gen input but since I...
I wonder if the Pytes V5 uses the CATL QLIN cell which seems more energy dense than the original? Perhaps this explains the change in weight when comparing V5 to the E48100R?
I have four of the V5 batteries in closed loop with my Solark 15k. Victron Power In is being used as the bus bar. So far, all is good! It is indoors, and so I am not taking advantage of heater. I also felt that newer was better for long term.
I am also worried. I have 20kwh Pytes V5 in closed loop communication 15 feet from my Solark 15k (4/0 cable x 2). Three feet away from the batteries is my natural gas boiler! I do have the Pytes V5 in a metal server rack.
Not sure what more to do to protect this. I lowered the charge rate...
