The power you are getting out seems in the ball park. Along with the other questions above, what roof angle, what direction and what latitude are you?
  • Post in thread: DIY Attic Fan(s)

Agree that the 12V fans I have encountered don't move enough air to be useful. One good fan at either end, one in and one out will probably provide the best cooling. That's what I do with my greenhouse.
  • Post in thread: Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

Randy, when I asked Renogy a couple of months ago they said it didn't work with the DCC50S. On the website it does say that it works with the Dc to DC chargers but doesn't give specific models. Do you have a BT-2 working with a DCC50s? If so I would order one right this minute. I will shoot...
  • Post in thread: Thinking about replacing a damaged panel, will these play nice with each other?

Test the panel and see if it is still putting out. If not, here is a link to a good article about playing mix and match with panels: https://solarpanelsvenue.com/mixing-solar-panels/
  • Post in thread: Using HV panels vs LV

That is pretty high voltage for a 12V system. Have you specced a charge controller that is happy with that? In a small system with short runs like that I don't really see the advantage.
  • Post in thread: Renogy 50 amp DC charger with (4) 100 watt solar panels

Doing a little more reading of the manual, I see that is states that if the solar voltage goes above 25.5V that it will shut down charging until the voltage drops below 24.5V. That implies that the controller can tolerate voltages above 25V. I'll shoot an email over to Renogy and see if I can...

Probably. I have the same batteries mounted in a milk crate in my van.
  • Post in thread: Trailer neutral/ground bonding

That is what I have always understood. It is strange in this case as this is how the manufacturer did it and Hunter is a pretty big, well known outfit.

  • Post in thread: Growatt or MPP 48V System

Yup. That and they run hot, have a high idle consumption, very little room to work with the wiring inside the case, not made to attach conduit to so we had to file the holes, the menus don't match up with the documentation, the up button scrolls down, the down button scrolls up, the lugs that...
