Thanks for the thread now we know a company with a very good reputation(y)
  • Post in thread: Solar Panel Output vs Generator Input Capacity

Hi, the voc of 12v panel is much more than 12v, usually 18-22v. So you'd better not to connect all 5 panels in series. You may have already hit the limits of the 68v voc. Check the panels' spec and get to know their voc and Isc first, then make the decision.
  • Post in thread: Over paneling for ac300

The 18a max will burn the solar input as each can take 12a at most, so it's not safe to do this. You'd better connect the panels in series only.
  • Post in thread: Current charging and discharging amp value setting

Hi, the best way to keep a Li-ion battery healthy is charging and discharging at 0.1C, which means the current should be 0.1*100AH=10A. How many batteries are needed bases on how many power you will need.
  • Post in thread: Verticle Panels more Efficient?

Even though vertical installation would have less heat absorption and higher output, the force area also matters since vertical installation will make the panels more vulnerable than horizontal. Tilt bracket is a good choice for solar panel. It can keep the panels cool and get natural breezes. A...
  • Post in thread: GStar 550w Panels?

I mean the comments and feedback on the panel...not familiar with the brand
  • Post in thread: New solar searching website

Pretty amazing! It will be a nice tool for solar builders and beginners. Just one more little thing..some famous brands cannot be found in the drop down menu. Will you update the list in the following versions?
  • Post in thread: Advice welcome on specific plan

Hi, you can have it as a large battery backup, but the battery bank of solar system should consist of same batteries. Therefore it will be your loss if you wanna make 30 kWh battery storage with other batteries. Yeah I think it will be only loss. If you would use the rack battery as part of...
  • Post in thread: Low Temperature Protection?

Read lots of Chinglish instructions too lol. I am guessing the words "During the charge at the low temperature, current limitation is applied" means when the operating temp gets close to 0℃, the charging current will be reduced. You should still keep it working in that range.
  • Post in thread: newbe here

Very cool system. What and how many solar panels do you have for the system?
  • Post in thread: EG4 batteries

To put the batteries at a indoor dry and well-ventilated location is better. It's the best way to keep them safe and long-lasting healthy.
  • Post in thread: SMA Inverter Extended Warranty - SMA Future

Tbh I think a 10-year warranty is quite enough for an inverter. I am not talking about its quality, but the market changes too fast. For example, maybe 5 years later a stronger one is created or new technology comes out, and you would like to buy a new and upgraded one. The extended warranty...
  • Post in thread: Quick release pins for tilt mounts?

Never seen something like what you said but I am curious about the answer to your questions too, so let's see (y)
  • Post in thread: 500W Panels - back mounted - 4 bolts only?

Yes I understand how annoying picking up and rebuilding are. Now I know the reason why you said 4 bolts are "only" ? looks like drilling more holes in the frame is a must do.
  • Post in thread: Is it practical for me to live off grid with no electricity and with that internet?

It's almost impossible to live without electricity at all now....let alone you need internet for online business.
  • Post in thread: Battery Test

Hi, could you tell me exactly what question you have with the eco-worthy 100ah battery? Eco-worthy supports every product with warranty. You can contact customer service for a replacement if you got a fault. The contact info is written in the manual usually.
  • Post in thread: Bluetti EB3A charging.

I found the EB3A specifications in the manual. Its minimum DC input volts is 12VDC, 200W and 8.5A Max.
  • Post in thread: Simple ? RE Lockout and Critical Loads

Yeah breakers provide symmetrical forward and reverse current thresholds to protect the battery from damage caused by over charging and discharging.
  • Post in thread: EU inverter for water heater?

The wiring is all the same to L/N/G. Most American devices are 120Vac, but since the water heater runs at 240v, I think it will work with the 240v inverter.
  • Post in thread: What % is safe for cold weather array calculation

Very helpful. Added to my bookmarks. Thx (y)
  • Post in thread: MPP / PowMr /Eco-worthy?

As far as I know the largest inverter Eco-worthy has is 5kw so I doubt it could meet your needs. But they offer good customer service. Any quality issue will get resolved.
  • Post in thread: Hello guys I'm new here. I work for a China battery company and I guess I know something you're interesting in. Ask whatever you wanna know

Tbh I have to say it reads more like an article written by a non-native speaker student ? very formal, speaks like a book. I knew it cause I was one of them?
  • Post in thread: Get smaller 4-100ah or 2-200ah batteries?

I would say 2*200ah batteries will be better than 4*100ah. More batteries need more wiring and lead to more potential issues like bad consistency. More batteries mean more troublesome if one of the batteries were faulty. The fewer, the better.
  • Post in thread: Renogy 150W CIGS Solar Panel

I agree. Both the companies are known for their good reputation.
  • Post in thread: Review My Build Part List Please

Hi, The Growatt 3kw inverter you listed only supports 24v battery system but the battery you wanna buy is 48v 100ah. I am afraid they cannot work with each other. You'd better find a 24v battery over 48v.
  • Post in thread: Energetech Batteries

I think the company should be primarily responsible for this problem, not the country it comes from... prejudice is not good:oops:anyway, you should call the after sale service, pushing them to sort it out. It's what they must do as a seller.
  • Post in thread: Solar panels to not use?

I agree with flexible solar panels which are too fragile and not that much "flexible" at all. It often happens the panels got invisible cracks inside, leading to huge drop of performance.
  • Post in thread: Selecting battery type on cheap Chinese controller (no manual)

Which company is of the controller, Blue or Xinpuguang? A photo should be better for your question I think.
  • Post in thread: Hello guys I'm new here. I work for a China battery company and I guess I know something you're interesting in. Ask whatever you wanna know

OK. Thank you. Very specific answer. I'll see other posts in this thread.
