They really suck. They do not even know how to use test equipment properly. I sure like to see SunfunShits response in the video.
  • Post in thread: Signature Solar disappointing service

After reading this thread, it seems to me that Asymair95 will still be waiting for SS to make thing right if he did not post the issue on this forum, I wonder how other people that do not know about this forum are still waiting for SS to make it right for customer. Since SS already have the...

  • Post in thread: REPT 280Ah grade B from 18650Batterystore test result

I just received my REPT 280Ah grade B from 18650Batterystore today, 12-29-2022, these are Black Friday special for only $100 ea, + $65 shpd (4 cells) to N.Cali. I test the Voltage on each cell, they are around 3.45V! it only took < 1hour to full charge each cell to 3.55V and <1A tail current, it...

Thank you for taking the responsibility to make it right for the customer, this is how good business stays in business.
  • Post in thread: Disagreeing with a Youtuber - DC Breaker Safety Concerns

I look at the prints on the circuit breaker, it does not show DC rating all, if it can handle DC then it should be printed. BTW, I also work in the lab that I perform testing the product per UL/CSA, my boss is member of UL compliance committee, we also have CSA guy that comes to the lab to...

Man, I gave up. Do what ever you want.
  • Post in thread: SHENZEN BASEN 280Ah, I received my first order

Well, I finish the capacity test of the replacement battery from BASEN to replace one damaged cell that I received. I charge it up to 3.55VDC and until the current drops down to about 0.50A, it takes a little over 20 Hours at 15A rate. I disconnect the charger and let it sit for about an hour...
  • Post in thread: The Truth

    Yep, great video.
  • Post in thread: 60a DC-DC Charger only pulling about 40a

How full are the batteries you are charging? As the batteries getting full it will draw less charging current.
  • Post in thread: Problems with Eg4 6500ex buyer beware.

Good outcome for Gavin, he is getting his restock fee back from SS according to Ben post #91: SS is still working on light flickering issue, FW does not fix the issue. Ben: It was connected and flickering before the update then it stopped when we flashed the update. That's all we could base it...
  • Post in thread: Burning Wires

Bad crimp since the wire from battery did not burn up. Home made cables? Pure copper or Copper-Clad aluminium wire? Was it charging at full 100A?
  • Post in thread: Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

I sure like to know the follow-up on the failure analysis of the two defective units BB got back.
  • Post in thread: Our NEW GO-TO LiFePO4 vendor...09.20.21

There is no need to charge the cell to 3.65V, you really do not gain much of anything, @3.45V is 99.5% SOC, 3.375V is 99% SOC, most in the forum set it to 3.35V (90% SOC)

  • Post in thread: ! How to Find a real brand and not a fake !

I am very grateful for this forum, and the video that Will puts out, that is how I learn to build my first solar system in 2020 and still learning everyday from this great forum and from Will's videos and it is FREE! it did not cost me a cent! • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

Sunfunkits is not on my list any more. They do not even know how to use their expensive equipment that they brag about or understand the Ah test. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/sunfunkits-show-their-true-color.44653/
  • Post in thread: RayfromTx video "Reduce the Risk When Buying Lifepo4 From Alibaba!" is misleading

Yes, so what? I post many links to the videos I find interesting, I.E. videos from Will. Offgridgarrage, Rays, Bigbattery, etc. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/sunfunkits-show-their-true-color.44653/ SFK brag about how expensive the test equipment they have, but they have no clue or...

  • Post in thread: How to turn off inverter, but leave on charge controller

i have the 1012, the inevrter is turned off by the switch on the bottom right of the unit, the charger function will still work when the inverter is turned off, I leave my inverter off since I use external 3000W inverter because the built-in 1000W inverter is not big enough to run my big fridge.
  • Post in thread: New Toys Arrived - ZKE-40 Tester & Sun Fun Kits EVE LF304 cells.

You should use tinned Copper lugs since the battery cell has Aluminium terminals, Copper and Aluminium do not react well together.
  • Post in thread: Power surge

If you have split phase and you lift the Neutral at the power source, you can easily damage the 120V loads connected to each half of the phase, the load with low resistance will have less Voltage on it than the one with higher resistance, the loads are basically connected in series when no...
  • Post in thread: Baffling voltage drop

That is normal for PWM SCC, as the battery is charged up the Voltage will go up. BTW, what is the full spec of your panels and how many and how they are arranged? https://solarpanelsvenue.com/mppt-and-pwm-charge-controllers-in-off-grid-solar-power-systems/
  • Post in thread: Should I fuse the positive wire from the solar panel to the charge controller?

You only have one panel and since you already have the disconnector so really no need for the fuse then.
  • Post in thread: what power to expect

What is the spec of the panel? Is this the one you have? https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/57000-57999/57325-792363573252.pdf Vmp is 18V imp is 5.56A (18V x 5.56A = 100W). So your setup for 8 panels is 2s4p that means the Imp will be 4 x 5.56A = 22.24A but the AC200p is limited to 12A...
  • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

  • Post in thread: Calpha 100W Mono rigid panel $49.95

I received them and tested them out and was able to get about 85 ~ 90W from each one on 80F day. I am happy for what I get at the price I paid for.
  • Post in thread: Help sizing an inverter - downgrading from 2000W to 1000W with an AC fridge
