This is what I need help with in my calculations.
I have a total of at least ten 240W & 250W panels to use for this project. I'm not sure if I need to combine them and how many to use per element? My elements are rated at 2600W each.
For my experiment, I was thinking of using separate pipes inserted into the heated sand and simply recirculate the air into my home using a fan.
I also would try using a water pump, piping, and a radiator in a closed loop.
Yes, the inverter has 2 separate built in charge controllers. The additional 6 strings would operate on the other charge controller. The total would be 12 strings divided between 2 charge controllers.

My EG4 48V 100Ah batteries have arrived!
I have 3 and will place them in parallel for 300Ah total.
I am using an MPP 6048 Split Phase Hybrid Inverter.
I did NOT order the server rack that goes with these as my budget could not afford it. I called Signature Solar today and discussed...
Can I get recommendations on where to buy affordable 18650's to build a powerwall?
I am planning on needing 200 or so for my first build.
Are there better LiFePo batteries for the price to build home Powerwalls than the 18650's?
Thanks!
Im also going with Polyiso to get the high R value.
Yes, it is a HUGE task to say the least. I look at it as therapy, lol. One step closer to getting on the road full-time. I actually don't mind projects.
I posted the second video as you replied with this. I know he did say in his videos he...
Yes, I used circuit breakers.
It is all my fault. I did check to see that I was putting them in parallel, but did not check good enough. My cables coming from the batteries are Anderson connectors. Pos and neg are color coded at the plug, not by wire color. I thought I had looked correctly at...
I have kept my eye on that one too! Very high Seer rating. I also like that it constantly runs instead of cutting on and off all the time which would waste alot of energy.
Greetings!
I'm thinking about making my own busbars for my three EG4 48V 100Ah server rack batteries. I am wanting to buy local from a Lowes or Home Depot as it will take weeks for copper bars to arrive where I live if I order online.
1. It was suggested that I can crush copper pipes flat to...
I ordered 4 206Amp batteries in early December at $1059 a piece. I have not received them yet. I checked with them & they said payment was good. Anyone else in the same boat?
Greeting again!
I got all the panels lined up in the configurations suggested and am just about ready to attach everything.
I have the proper blocking diodes on each positive end of all strings. I am now ready to attach all strings in parallel and power my system.
Question 1: I have 14 sets...
I am planning on getting Tesla's Cybertruck in the next 2 years. I would like to prepare a DIY home charging station for it now.
I live in sunny Arizona.
What would I need to be able to charge it at home off-grid? What size inverter? How many solar panels? What can I buy/make on my own & what...
I contacted SOK about the delay on Jan 7 and they responded.
They said the same to me as others here reported: their shipment is delayed because it is stuck in Long Beach. They said to expect them to be shipped by mid January.
Does anyone know why a shipment would be stuck in Long Beach for...
Greetings!
I ordered four 12V 206Ah SOK LiFePo batteries to use in my solar setup. I plan on using a 48V system.
1. I heard that busbars are the way to go for connecting the batteries together for 48V. Are there recommendations of busbars that will easily fit the 206Ah SOK's?
2. Once I...
Here are my results with the panels flat. I however adjust them every month & I do not have shading.
My guess is that I will have at least 5-6 hours per day in the winter.
I am posting here to see if there is any interest in my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid Battery.
The Escape itself still runs & could be driven to your location. The vehicle has multiple problems at 350,000+ miles and it's time to retire it. As far as I know, the battery is still good so the resale is...
