Last Part was the nickel Plating.

First, make the Green Nickel Solution
•Home Made Production
•30% Vinegar and Salt (any vinegar supposed to work; 30% not necessary)
•Nickel Strip from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KP3M4LP/
•Put each strip in Vinegar in jar
•Connect...
I have finished my crate build: Originally a Crate Build: 600 wh, 24 Volt, 300 Watt Inverter, and put a second battery pack to make 1200 wh Goal was to continuously supply 250 watts of power which could get recharged simultaneously by 600 watts of panels. I will call that a success with a test...
I will be adding some removable panels to the side of the RV. These will be removed whenever I'm driving and will only be set up once parked.
These will be South Facing panels, with the intent of when I use air conditioning in the fall and spring when the sun is lower to the ground, this will...
MC4 connectors may be inexpensive, but solar panels come with them and those are used for roof installs. With their IP 67 rating, I trust those to weather over the years better than a butt splice with a couple of pieces of heat shrink with the glue inside, even if wrapped in tape afterwards...
YouTube Videos have been made of these things have been made dropping them in a battery box and hooking one end to a battery case stud. I would extend it with this Blue Sea 200 amp product with the smaller 200C BMS wire on one stud and the larger 65C wire for the same ampacity on the other...
If solar is cheaper, why is energy from a utility company created by fossil fuels cheaper than energy created by solar?
Why does a country like China who is really good at chasing a profit build new fossil fuel plants at a rate so much greater than renewable energies?
I think you found a good reason to start making your own cables by buying an MC4 crimper, some MC4 plugs, wire cutters and 10 gauge wire. After the first couple of crimps its amazingly simple and you can make cables for whatever you buy.
I have lion energy panels whose box says assembled in Vietnam form German cells.
We tried this before and as soon as the subsidies ended, the companies went out of business. This plant received $58 million in subsidies and closed its doors...
I spend a lot of time trying to guest proof my systems. They will always not understand or not follow instructions, no matter how I label or put colored tape on.
If you need to stick to MC4s, “Guest Proofing” won’t be possible. Can you make one set of connectors Anderson plug and the other...
Not a solar stall directly, but I was having trouble figuring and "aesthetic" installation of a USB port on a short ceiling. I'd searched for weeks before deciding.
Have been wanting to install a USB charging port in the kids bunk, and I've decided to tap into the light to avoid tearing a wall...
I did level 1 charging with my Tesla model 3 with my solar setup, and these are the results:
4.33 miles / hour charged
322 wh/mile from the ac inverter
367 wh/mile from the Batteries to cover AC losses
AC draw from inverter while charging 1400 watts +/-2watts.
AC Draw from inverter before...
I don't know about efficiency, but there is a lot of detail and he made the problem work. I've seen nothing else except that YouTube video that documents a small build.
For my 35' RV in Arizona, the only thing I found that may work is one of the trailer mounted panel generators from the...
If this is true, how come my electricity rates go up over time as solar plants are put in and coal plants shut down?
Chart shows one thing, my bill another.
I’ve finally finished this. Took 4 months between ordering the battery and waiting for parts to arrive. Another twelve 8 hour days between finishing the 12 volt to 24 volt upgrade, testing that with the batteries in a 12 volt configuration, and building the two 8s battery packs.
Got a lot of...
After about a year I realized the reason 12 volt DC high wattage items are not available is they're too dangerous. a 900 watt coffee maker or rice cooker would need around 80 amps DC to make a cup. The inverter works because AC does not have the arcing and the wires can be quite a bit smaller...
I disagree with 48 volts being the way to go.
An RV build is one of them. 24 volts is good for 2000 watts - 3000 wattts of power, plenty for most builds. Also if you pan on using DC power, extremely hard to find 48 volt accessories, but you can find 24 volts, 12/24 volt dual accessories. I...
I would not believe any rumor like that on any forum about any company.
I would not see how anything could be warrantied if a company went out of business.
INMO That’s insanely dangerous to out that much up there.
Don’t do that without contacting the manufacturer.
I would not see the manufacture taking liability for that.
I have 1650 watts on the roof, and 900 on the ground. My build is in my signature block. My panels, on the roof are less...
Lithiums may not start an engine when compared to a similarly sized battery. The BMS limits amerage output.
Do not need solar. It may come down to how much is the peace and quiet worth to you for the generator cycling on and off, or the campgrounds that may limit generator usage to certain...
My manual says almost the same thing, except to use stranded #8 wire. That’s what I did for my 2000 watt inverter.
THere was a discussion that the Chassis wire should be at least as thick as your DC wire. That would not work with my inverter, a quality SAMLEX 2000 PST 12 volt inverter. The...
I made thicker leads for my Bench Top Power supply, and this made a huge difference while charging the batteries.
Went from 3.6 amps in Constant Voltage with the tiny terminals that came with the power supply to 10 amps in constant current mode for the 10 AWG wires. This should cut down charge...
After assembling three BMSs, I feel it doesn’t matter whether you use a good crimp or good soldering, or even both. The current is minuscule.
What I would change, is I would drill and tap the bus bars for these BMS leads. When I put my ring terminals on the studs and tightened, the ring...
THe VIctron Multiplus as was pointed out to me is a 3000 VA, not watts. It is rated at 2400 watts.
If you plan on using this inverter to its limits, I recommend 24 volts. If you use this inverter to warm in a microwave, not cook, a meal three or four times a day 12 volts will be fine.
