Update:
No more long extension cord running across the floor…..I do have a short GFCI extension cord between the Eco Flow and the flange inlet.
Fished 12/2 Romex through the walls to four GFCI outlets in each corner of the room for a dedicated/completely separate from the grid system.
Thanks Soggy. I will burst into the next HOA meeting painted up like William Wallace and demand our freedom.
PS. Whatever dose y’all on is correct dose.
Dilly dilly.
Thank you all for the informative replies….and the humor.
The Eco Flow Delta Pro (as y’all know) isn’t Texas weatherproof or it would be outside then to Romex.
It is just one 10AWG extension cord to a surge protector power strip…and I run an air purifier off the Ecoflow next to the recliner...
I go by CCTX on another forum. But, CCTX was already taken here. CP are the initials of one of my best friends from University….and it’s a humorous play on the old CCCP Cyrillic alphabet.
I will provide no additional information over the internets.
…..this is what happens when “someone” doesn’t like a bright yellow 10AWG extension cord running 10 feet “discreetly” over a hardwood floor to under a bed to a surge protected power strip.
Woah!
Good Sir, you are right. My wife has magical diplomacy, covert operations, and delegation skills that very few possess.
My wife loves me and will support me in this endeavor while working behind the scenes like the Wizard of Oz. She will have the HOA allowing me to install extra panels...
I will also play.
This is my imagined purest form of Daddy Tanuki ….repairing THE panel that will save the world. He has faith and bravery to make the greatest solar power sacrifice for the rest of us.
I disassembled from the front (as I didn’t want to lift it off the wall for the tenth time) to inspect the drain pan expecting to see the drain pan either misaligned from the factory, or an unexplainable crack. When I got to the drain pan, it was clear as day that that the drain hole in the far...
OK, so the install went 95% perfectly.
Really wish EG4 provided a template
The 3.5 inch hole I drilled through drywall and then outside brick at a downward angle might be 3/4 of an inch too close to the indoor unit.
The indoor unit mounted fine with some muscle, but I fear I may have kinked the...
Thank you for the feedback; I was unaware regarding the 10awg requirement in solar DC PV cables while running through the house. Easy change to my purchasing list.
The only way I could avoid the attic would be to run the wires off the roof, over the gutters and then pvc conduit all the way...
Haha!! No it’s not the intention for this to be an advertisement….I despise those.
I sort of stumbled into the Powerstream UK/EU solution and I’m intrigued.
There is another UK/EU Powerstream thread here with good info
If there are any other solutions please let me know.
Y’all keep being...
Great news; It was an easy fix.
Waaaay back in the drain hole on the left there was a black piece of plastic plugging the drain hole inside the unit.
I had to take a drill bit and drill it out.
Drains perfectly now with just gravity without the condensation pump.
This was either a...
Yes, that was my concern with those…and motion sensing delays, etc.
I did consider the no windows on the shed. If there was a south facing window, it would open up some other options.
Yes, the micro inverter shuts off feed to the grid tied house when the grid is down….and only charges the battery when the grid is down.
The battery (Ecoflo) will then only feed dedicated outlets with the “Ecoflow smart plugs”….or dedicated Romex runs….or isolated circuits with a switch or...
I’m not aware of an all in one prepackaged system that includes the battery and lights.
There are those $100 prepackaged 30watt Allto panel systems that include an inline lithium or lead acid “MPPT” controller that you would then just connect to a 12volt lithium battery and connect the battery...
The easiest HOA approved location for me to install 2 series panels run to outside DC disconnect and 20amp DC breaker then drill a hole in the wall to pass PV wires into my Eco Flo Delta Pro was on a south facing roof above the master bedroom.
Yes, I did this when she was out of town six months...
